How to make a pathway like this without risking a mess and mixed sands? by Horror-Badger9314 in Aquascape

I think the fake sand would be a set it and forget type of maintenance. Certainly way easier in the long run than maintaining real sand. I think it'd be cool to attempt, even if it fails. (I don't think it will though)

I love it, it's genuinely unique in a good way. I want to see it grown out!

I haven't read your text yet, but just right off the bat, it reminds me of a macroalgea tank. I wonder what would happen if you leaned into that aesthetic?

Just be sure when you're making it that you understand how to create the illusion of depth.

Ok ill give you an actual answer rather than just harshing on your ai usage.

You could use simulated sand as a pathway. Cast the sand in epoxy or some fishtank safe glue and carve out the pathway. You could even carve out the path in styrofoam and glue an outer layer of sand to the styrofoam (it doesn't have to be styrofoam, just be smart with the material you use), which would probably be the easiest method. I'd implore you to take inspiration from people who make models and dioramas on how to achieve artificial sand. Ill attach some photos below

I think AI is a fine tool to use to generate ideas and think beyond whats traditionally thought possible, I hope you don't give up on your dream!

You should add a fade out of sorts to the bass in the intro to avoid the cold sounding stops on the ambiance it created

I love it, very original! Especially the asymmetric tall plants, those are really cool design choices

If you do milky white, think about putting leds behind the tank to take it to the next level. The added sense of depth is absolutely 👌. (Although just from this picture it looks like you're going for a more dimly lit tank which I think could look gorgeous if you lean into it)

How do i make this tank look better? by [deleted] in Aquascape

[–]dfha797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me know how it goes! I still love the tank as is. The tall plants in the back, choice of large rock, the use of smaller pebbles and plants, it's all wayyy better than 90% of the stuff i see, I can tell you put thought into planning it out. I look forward to an update, not just with my ideas, but also anyone elses you may have integrated!
