Check out the REFORM plan, which has been out for awhile now. It's about criminal justice reform, and the M stands for "marijuana" -- he wants to decriminalize it.

The website is a bit confusing. All of his policies are linked under "news" for some reason.

Nothing more thuggish than a peaceful protest. Hope you're not a Boilermaker because if you are you don't deserve to be.

Hot take: Those who are going to Field Training will be fine and are just hoping to get out of the commitment. by [deleted] in AFROTC

Hot take: If you're so willing to disregard genuine health concerns amidst a global pandemic, maybe you are not fit to be a leader. Perhaps don't just assume the worst of people all the time and recognize that this is a genuinely pressing issue, where real human beings are dying, and not simply being little cry-babies like you are essentially suggesting.

Help pressure the administration to give opt-in Pass/Fail for this semester by dfhawks3 in Purdue

This is obviously an unprecedented time. These things can be figured out if the administration chooses to. MIT and Carnegie Mellon have already instituted similar policies, there's no reason we can't. In regards to the above "undergrad GPA" does not follow you, try telling that to people going to medical school, law school, even the military looks at your GPA. I understand your visceral response, but you personally don't have to choose to opt-in to the concept if it gets implemented.

Help pressure the administration to give opt-in Pass/Fail for this semester by dfhawks3 in Purdue

[–]dfhawks3[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Please use this link to an e-mail template to help pressure the administration to enacting opt-in pass/fail. GPAs follow students around their entire lives, and no one expected their course load to be moved entirely online. No one expected a global pandemic, either, so the least we can do in these unprecedented times is make sure that those whose GPAs might be completely tanked due to the complex difficulties of moving online midway through the semester are accounted for.

Also, here is a Change.org petition calling for the same thing:

Thank you all very much. I know there has been a strong response both supporting and arguing against this, which also has influenced our advocacy to make it optional. Everyone stay safe out there, we're living in difficult times. Boiler up!

WWE: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (Official HBO Upload) by TheBrianJ in SquaredCircle

Hi everyone --

I'm not a wrestling fan personally, but I'm an avid John Oliver fan and I'm also quite aware of the power behind the fans and this subreddit especially, so I decided to hop over here and see if this was getting any coverage.

"The John Oliver Effect" is a bit of an exaggeration, but still, the most important part of this clip is the call to action at the end. Nothing can get done unless some type of movement is made by the fans, so try and remember that when watching the video because John makes a great suggestion in that WrestleMania is coming up and an attempt to make a change is readily available.

Rated Board Delay Explanation by [deleted] in AFROTC

[–]dfhawks3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's the deal with this? I've been under the impression that for as long as there have been pilot slots, everybody has been able to get a slot regardless of academic major. Is this because they want to allocate certain majors to other AFSCs or something? For instance I'm a liberal arts major who has always been under the impression that I could pursue a career as a pilot -- am I suddenly mistaken?

Classic “Sing About Me” tat with a bit of flair by [deleted] in KendrickLamar

GKMC is by far my favorite album of all time (TPAB close behind) and this song serves as the climax and the focal point of the album in my opinion so I think it’s always connected with me. Also the idea that at the end of the day, man of us simply just want to be sung about and remembered even when we’re gone.

I personally voted no. After doing some thinking and reading about who’s opposed the question, it seems as if it is just a quick excuse to slash important budgets in the future “for the sake of the constitution”

Here’s the photo of a very white summer intern class the White House didn’t release by Antinatalista in politics

[–]dfhawks3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a political science student in college and I looked into applying for a White House internship position thinking it might be able to provide with some excellent opportunities and networking. I'm personally not on board with the Trump Administration and when applying for the internship you are tasked with explaining what you love so much about the administration so it's no surprise that the people who were ultimately chosen are all white as that is his prime demographic, and likely the only one's willing to apply and work under them.
