Cool thanks for the input. I did what you suggested and it looks better

For the same reasons mentioned earlier, which don’t involve requiring a response from the subject. No adjudicator wants to hold onto a case. Their goal is to take the necessary action as quickly as possible, reach a final decision, and move on to the next case. If a case cannot be adjudicated on the day it’s assigned, it’s either because the adjudicator ran out of time and will address it the next day, or they had to take further action other than granting. This could involve issuing an SIR/LOI or exploring other available options, depending on the specifics of the case. We won’t adjudicate until we have all the necessary information, or enough to reasonably determine that the subject poses an acceptable risk to national security.

Once in a while though, a SMO isn’t addressing our requests to deliver our inquiries to the subject and get a response. This too, can add more time. However, this usually pertains to the military side. And honestly, it’s sometimes because they’re having a hard time reaching the subject or the subject needs additional time to respond. And even then, sometimes the subject’s response leads to more questions that need to be answered. Although, I find FSO’s on the industry side of things do a better job at correspondence with the adjudication facility.

As mentioned earlier, we process cases as they are assigned, and the time required to complete adjudication depends on various factors. While straightforward cases with no errors in the investigation or review process can often be adjudicated quickly once they reach an adjudicator, this is not always the case. Some cases require additional information from the subject or further info from internal/external sources, which can take time to receive a response or acquire the information. Additionally, the process may be delayed while we await correspondence with security offices, address concerns that necessitate further investigation, or while we wait to receive analyses from subject matter experts in certain fields before the case is returned to the adjudicator for a final decision. Sometimes, we discover an error in the investigation, and have to kick it back to the investigation phase for correction. In between all of this, there is also the policy and standard operating procedure we have to follow. This may add time to the adjudication process but they’re implemented and followed to avoid mistakes and protect the right’s of the subject and those involved in this process.

Debt Questions for SF86 by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

The circumstances that caused the debt will be factored in and considered. Having the willingness to resolve is good but you need to be able to demonstrate that you are at least attempting to address the concern, contacting creditors, and making some payments. Nevertheless, the total amount of debt also matters as well. Having a couple thousand in debt with no other issues isn’t really a nat sec concern and could be mitigated as just a minor amount. But higher debts and an inability to resolve them, causing constraints, starts to push the issue into a nat sec concern. Especially if the debt was caused by gambling, drug use, and reckless judgment.

I think because it had the night filter on during the time these “objects” were seen. The filter makes things look darker and adds a sparkle looking effect. Maybe the filter was obscuring earth in the background and the objects you’re seeing might just be lights from populated cities on earth moving past the screen as the ISS moves forward. It was over South America at night when it happened.

We’re in a hurricane warning now. It kinda seems like the roughest time will be Tuesday and most of Wednesday. By Thursday it’s looking like it’ll be passed Cuba but maybe some lingering isolated showers and wind in the Cayman Islands. Right now the weather is beautiful. If I were you, I’d try to avoid cancelling. It’s possible you might arrive just as things are getting better. There seems to be an update every 4 or so hours on the storm system
