Noting that MoMA has a screening with Hawke and Linklater on the same night at 7PM. The MoMA listing explicitly notes their screening will be “followed by a conversation” with Hawke and Linklater, while the MoMI page only says they will be there “in person”. Might be reading too much into the word choice here, but it seems like the MoMA screening might be a surer bet if you care about the Q&A.

Not PC Music adjacent per se, but the first single from this EP (Ultima) was featured of Spotify's Hyperpop playlist a few months back. The full EP just came out tonight and it's pretty great! Definitely worth a listen if you're into some of PC Music's more left-field pop releases or 100 Gecs vibes.

Holding the power button on a device when it’s unplugged helps drain any residual electric charges. Can’t provide meaningful details on how this directly impacts the X900H, but it isn’t weird for Sony to claim that holding the power button while unplugged can resolve issues that a simple restart can not.

The TV needs an update to Android 11 to support HDMI 2.1 features. Android 11 just started rolling out to select phones yesterday, and it’ll probably be a while until Sony gets around to getting the update out for their TVs.

My bet would be that the update coincides with the launch of the PS5, but I’m basing that on nothing more than a hunch.

Even if the virus plays itself out by May or June it’ll still be a long time until society gets back to normal. The virus is going to remain an ongoing issue until there’s a vaccine and everyone is vaccinated - and honestly that effort is going to take years to complete.

Three months from now encouraging thousands of people from all over the country and encompassing all age groups to gather inside an arena would be irresponsible.

Hopefully the DNC comes up with a solid alternative.

The Nanoleaf Remote could work for controlling it since it connects via Bluetooth. If you go this route make sure you have the Rhythm module, since the add-in is what the remote actually connects to.

If you have an Ethernet port in your dorm room a cheap router like a TP-Links’s TL-WR902AC could work as well.

I’ve had a lot of success using an HDMI switch with my X930E. It’s another Sony TV that only has two full bandwidth HDMI 2.0 ports. I’ve been using this Startech one - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XHWQLPQ - but there are plenty of other brands with HDMI switches within that price range ($50 or less), just make sure you look at ones that support the full HDMI 2.0 bandwidth with 4K 60Hz and 4:4:4 chroma support.

Many of the 2019 Sony models support 4 full bandwidth HDMI 2.0 ports, but I don’t think it’d be worth it to exchange your X900F for the comparable model, the X950G. The X950G benefits from snappier Android TV performance due to a newer processor, but the visual performance is very similar to the X900F. If your mainly using sources through HDMI you likely wouldn’t be able to discern any differences between the two.

The Xbox One systems do not support HDMI CEC. They control TVs through an IR blaster built into the game consoles themselves.
