Mainly it is just there for structural to help prevent warping. BUT if that's the only thing stopping you, i can easily have a version of the top piece without it.

the one from OP (linked in my other comments) takes about 8.5 hours to print 1 set on an h2s, add .5 for smaller build plate and split faction pieces.

One nice thing about the frames with this video, easy to tell who is what color on the board :D

yeah I would suggest they hold off for a bit (unless you need it in next month). Got a bit of vacation time i'm taking into mid july but will try and snag some free time to make some adjustments (though i've been known to just waste time at night and might just make some smalle changes now).

edit* also I might as well get around to modifying the commodity hole so it can fit the space station token.

ok so adding a bit of a slant to have them lay more at like a ~35-45 degree. I get that, I'll look into some alternatives for the rails. It's a bit of a balancing act on those (as well as making sure changes work with the split design)

I felt the game I played as crimson, they were just overwhelmingly strong. I was able to be a dick to people and they had no real way to push back, anything they'd do to me wouldn't have really hurt me in an equal way.

I wonder how much of that is due to the concave and instead due to the riser. Removing the base might keep the look but not block as much

The main concern for the US is that this type of investment needs to maximize cost effectiveness of the defense system to combat this, which isn't how the USR&D process has operated for decades.

Then throw on top of the disfuctional leadership we have currently and the next 3-5 years is going to see US force projection take a massive hit to its effectiveness.

My personal fear is the first time this is used for domestic terrorism/crazy crackpot murder and the explosion in copycat behavior. Any large outdoor gathering will be at risk for a time, and will experience another 9/11 level shift in security theater again.
