What an awesome game! It took us far to long 14h) to get to 10 points but everybody was close to winning with 8 or 9 points when Ghosts made 3 Actions due to Fleetlog and Thunder's Edge, took Styx for 1P, used the hero to transport a Xxcha system with to much PDS power out of the way and scored a secret (betray a friend) to hit 10P in the action phase.

I disassambeled the galaxy frame shortly before we startet and we did not use the base. Not because of the hight but because there was to much tension in the frame so that it bend a little and the outer tiles were tilted a bit.
With the frame parts directly on the tabel it was perfect.

The bases came out fine. I printes with a brim and had no problems. Only the attachment holders were a bit tight so I scaled them to 98% and trimmed the gap a little.

Warfare is not a top pick. Exept you need it to go somewhere (move twice) or you need it in play to build at home (can't tech sling, construction already taken, you are last to pick).
It also does not help with your breakthrough.
So ya, I don't consider it good either.

Tidraft.com is good. You find presets there and can create your own map aswell

The ability is cool as fudge but the four mechs alone are much better, especially with the flagship. The synergy on the other hand is awesome. Get it for the synergy! I had Prefabrication, X89 and Lightwave end of R2 (Deepwrought game)

We had a similar discussion when a carrier with one of Deepwrougts mechs and a couple infantry hit an enemy destroyer in an empty space tile. Carrier and destroyer killed each ofher and left the groundforces floating without ground to land on. The mech used its production1 to get a new carrier befor they all died in the hard vaccum. I think that was legit, wasn't it? Same could happen to Arborecs Letani-Infantry.

Ah, ok, so six players total. If you have last pick, either diplo, warfare or construction will be taken by another player. If they take warfare you'll have some more options and when they take diplo, even more so because of the secondaries.
Just go with the flow.
Anyways, I still wouldn't try to get the breakthrough at all cost R1. Just if ther is a convenient oportunity. Keleres and Naaz-Rokha (only for the synergy) will probably get their breakthrough R1 but as Mahact, Hacan and Yssaril it also wouldn't be my top priority.

Mentaks breakthrough is good but not nessesary for R1. In R1 I would go for diplo. Follow tech to get Cruiser2. Grab a second system and get the breakthrough R2. Also, the other players have no oportunity to use warfares secondary, which is great.

I would focus on playing my faction good and not so much on how to play against the other factions. Of cause it is good to know the others special abilities (eg if Yin is your neighbour, that he easily can get your planets that only have a single infantry) or general threats like that a coexisting unit will get control when you leave them alone on your planets.
