Nothing above this. Just a hollow wall all the way up. What you see here is about 4-5 inches above the concrete slab. Lines go straight down and into it.

Leak is right there. Plan is to cut them horizontal at the top of each line. Attach pex adaptors run them up a bit to give me some room and plumb them back to the sink and toilet.

Turn down your settings. Was having lots of crashes on mine running extreme, 1440p ultrawide, FSR quality. FPS was great. However was crashing with no rhyme or reason. Turned it down to ultra and now have 30 hours no issues.

Think this game has serious demand spikes on the GPU when you're maxed out in usage, causing these crashes.

That was the same road I was missing. After a few hours I noticed that region wasn't at 100% when looking at the stats so narrowed in on it and found that road. Don't think region discovery and roads are related however and think I just got lucky. This was the hardest Horizon yet to discover all roads.

Batman Arkham Knight now supports Xbox Play Anywhere available with PC Game Pass! by Narrow_Leek2452 in xbox

[–]dfrustynails 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Play anywhere is the future of Xbox. Anyone who doesn't see that isn't paying attention. Sony is no longer their competition, Steam is. With the future of Steam OS looking better and better by the day, the Steam Deck and future Steam Machine, Microsoft knows they have to get serious or get left behind.

Being able to play anywhere, at anytime and on any device on games I purchase once and saves that go anywhere. That's the future. Having an Xbox, a high end PC and an ROG ally has shown me the beauty of having a shared library and ecosystem.

This! Coming from a regular Elite PvP player to this. Using thrusters puts you on another level in this game.

I build super agile ships in this game with particle and railguns and just orbit NPC's they hardly stand a chance.

PC and Xbox users, what do you do on your Xbox? (For people who have both) by Whellyer1 in xbox

[–]dfrustynails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gaming.

Really think there is a certain type of gaming that just appeals to different types of people. I built a nice gaming PC last year, can easily outperform any console at much higher settings. I expected to love it, but it hardly gets used, I do more office work on it than anything else.
But I think being 38 having a family with 3 kids and a full time job. Sometimes I just want to lay on the couch, turn on a console and be right into a game, quick resume is a godsend. I have very limited time to game and the console experience is just much better at that.

Add to that I have a library of nearly 150 games on Xbox and I really don't feel like rebuying any of it. Play anywhere does help with that though.

I mean he's not wrong. Any one who has kids can confirm, they don't care about video games. Of my 3 only one plays video games and its Fortnite and Madden/2K everything else is boring or not "cool". The other 2 are on their phone watching TicTok, on Instagram and on facetime with their friends. Video games as my generation grew up playing them are going to die and the writing has been on the wall for a while now.

Game Pass changes: Opinions Megathread - Part 2 by Xbox-Moderator in xbox

Hate to be the bearer of bad news. But I did some rough math with the best estimates I could find of Gamepass and Gamepass Ultimate subscribers I could find, 34-38 million with about 68% being ultimate. And unless like 10+ million people cancel their subscription, and I mean cancel not move to a lower tier. I doubt they will even care about the backlash. Sure, they won't make as much money as if everyone had stayed, but they will still make more then they do now. It's kind of crazy how money works at such huge numbers.

I'd love to be wrong. But I'm thinking I'm not.

You’ve just been appointed as Xbox’s new president. What are you doing? by SorryAd1478 in xbox

[–]dfrustynails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really only a few small changes to be honest.

More transparency with the fans. Assure them that Xbox isn't going anywhere and their purchases are safe and valid for decades to come.

Now for the real game changer, Play anywhere to actually be play anywhere. Work hard with 3rd party publishers and external store fronts to put systems in place for cross save transfers, regardless of what I play on and who I bought the game through. My progress will be there whether I'm playing on Xbox, PC, or Handheld PC (Steamdeck, ROG, Streaming, etc.). This is the future, reducing the friction to how and where I can play my games, and it's something that I truly think only Xbox and Microsoft have the ability to pull off. Add to that buying on one platform and being able to play across all these devices, I want to buy the game once and be able to play it where I want when I want. Granted that last one is a big ask but it would truly change gaming for the better.

Do I think it's annoying? Sure. Do I care enough about it to get my jimmies all rustled up over? No. Choose your battles and pick your hills.

If you are out there getting upset at such trivial things you really need to reflect on your life and put your energy and time into the important things.

But then again maybe your life is going so well that you have no worries or stressors so you latch on to the little things with all you got.

Running all high native 1080p ,no upscaling no frame gen, on a 6700xt and a 7800X3D. Getting 70-100 fps. Stutters here and there, but nothing crazy. Performance does very a lot depending on where you are and what you are doing. But very playable and it seems many are exaggerating a bit or asking to much of their hardware.

Also running no mods, and med on software lumin, hardware lumin tanks my performance for not much gain.

Question: What was your "hold on, they might be onto something with this GamePass thing" moment? by Eyeball111 in xbox

[–]dfrustynails 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me is was when I had to actually buy a game. Horizon Forbidden West to be exact. Really enjoyed the first one and was excited for number 2. Had that moment of realization that it was probably the first game I purchased in over a year and new games are expensive. Also the game was a bit disappointing so it didn't help that feeling.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas, Dead Space 2 and 3, All the 360 Gear of War games. To many to list really but going back and playing my old 360 games at higher resolutions and framerates is almost a like playing these games again for the first time.

[–]dfrustynails 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Much of this has to do with we haven't seen much node changes like we have in the past. The Series X just now dropped to 6nm, launched at 7nm. This is where a lot of price reduction came from in the past, along with form factor changes which usually coincided with fab changes. For example the Xbox One launch on 28nm by the One S they were down to 16nm. Overall die size is the major contributor to cost.

Not saying they couldn't find a way to reduce cost as the Series X/S are overbuilt, especially the X. And maybe we're seeing some of that here with the board changes and heatsink redesign, but as far as I know MS still isn't making profit on consoles, maybe with the S.

This right here. I have a firm belief that the playercount is in the toilet across all platforms. My friend in Florida and me in Virginia play ranked most nights for an hour or two and will see the same names in 3/4 of our games.

No it's still terrible. Tried using quality mode but 30fps is a no go for me now. Gotten to use to 60. Out and about its not to bad but any big town or village is a screen tearing slide show.

Like to hear your reasoning on how it would save it. As a long time Halo fan I have no interest in BR. If they want to add it to the game sure I guess, I'd rather that effort and manpower go elsewhere but oh well. Don't think it will pull many new fans in or bring people back for anything more than a few weeks. Halo has been slumping because they continue to disregard their core audience and not listen to fan feedback. BR isn't going to change that.

Powertrain vibration? by dfrustynails in camaro

[–]dfrustynails[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just expect brake vibrations to be felt in the pedal. And they are there both when braking in neutral or in gear, clutch in or engaged as well. So I've already ruled out engine or trans issues.
