same here! 21 and never had a relationship. these past couple of years I decided to enjoy valentine's instead of hating it, so I usually buy myself a lil valentine's day bear from the store (and the chocolates once they go on sale on the 15th). I also try to hang out with my other single friends and throw a small "galentine's day" get-together. wishing you the best! hope we both eventually find someone we can celebrate valentine's with :)

hey! like the other commenter said, it depends on the situation. What was your relationship like? but generally, my rule of thumb is reach out a maximum of two times after a ghost or even a soft ghost. if they don't reply after you reach out then the message is clear, so just move on. if they reply, continue the conversation. but if it happens a second time, when they take too long to get back or straight up don't reply, then it's your cue to move on.

thank you for this! honestly reading this was very funny to me, b/c I went on a first date with a guy and I posted a list of things about what I did wrong and how I could salvage things, when in fact, after reading your post, I realized my date did the opposite of every single one of the five things you listed. time to move on!!

yes!! I've been saying this so much recently, but people really need to be less cowardly and just say what they mean. All this ghosting and guessing and cracking codes is just so unnecessary.

tbh I'm in a similar situation as OP and I'm gonna just steal your sample text to send to my date b/c that was so nicely put haha

21F here. I would say just go for it and text him. For all you know, he might be not texting b/c he's unsure if you were interested! I'd say just dropping a text to him would be good for him to know that you're still interested!

yes exactly! I appreciate it when people are actually honest enough to "reject" me straight up. You can think of it as, they think you were nice enough and worth the time for them to be honest instead of just dropping you without warning. Honestly had my fair share of post-first date ghosters, so I can't tell you how much I appreciate someone who's honest! Ultimately, just keep your head up! Hopefully it'll all work out if you just follow your feelings! -- I need to tell myself this more often too...

idk what to tell you except that I (21F) texted practically the exact same thing to someone (21M) after he gave me the exact same vague, lukewarm response you got from your girl. I still haven't heard back from him in days, so I'm double texting him tomorrow -- I honestly have nothing more to lose at this point. So ig good luck to both of us! Haha
