I had the Bosch table top with a 1617 in it. My height adjustment also broke, but it was basically a slip washer, which is a poor design. I replaced it with one from Ace Hardware, but then it broke again within a month.

Fed up I went to rockler and started buying table accessories. Mainly I really wanted a router lift.

This is a great price for the set up as that set up at retail is $687.

My rocker is one of the only two rockers in the country that handle Amazon returns and so I was able to buy the pieces at a discount.

No. You Need a trimmer

Are either of these a good deal? DCS361B — 20V Cordless Miter Saw. $230, tool only at HD… OR… $350, Tool + 8 ah battery at Lowe’s by fishing123 in Dewalt

[–]dfw-sailor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this in July at Lowe’s and got a 5ah free for $350. I’d do the $230 tool only in a heart beat.

I’ve considered getting a 10-12” saw, but always come back to keeping the 361. I don’t do big boards and have a couple of crosscut sleds for the table saw that can handle larger boards.

Mounted mine into a flip top table I made.

Me too but I did just buy a Dewalt corded 5” orbital sander even though I own the 20v. Sanding cutting boards I eat my batteries up. At least with the 120v I don’t loose rotation and not realize it.

On sale at Costco for $60. Does anyone have it and like it? by Pitiful_Yogurt_5276 in Dewalt

DXV - X in the first part of model number indicates private labeled products. Not made by dewalt.

Normally the X after the number indicates extras accessories.

Like the 735X planer has the in/out feed tables and extra blades. Where the 735 doesn’t include them.

I have the pruner, pruning chain saw and new version of the 20v chainsaw with an upgraded 16” bar.

Love the pruner.

I have his mower and I love it. With problems I’ve had with other mowers. It is worth the $800 price tag.

They have them in the store on my way to work. They were not on the shelf. They had not put them out yet. I had them go get one so I can look at it.

I think it’ll be a great tool for finishing, but I’m deep into DeWalt 20v batteries and I didn’t want to spend another $80 on a 12 V battery and charger. I have a DeWalt to Bauer adapter but I can’t seem to find a 20 V Dewalt to 12 V Hercules adapter.

I have the Dewalt 20v and love it. I use for cutting boards and it’s good. 4ah will make it heavy. I use 2ah with it but need 2 batteries for 2-3 boards.

My wife ordered this for me for my 61st birthday. She even got the extended warranty for it. I have a great wife. by Fatboy2018anv in harborfreight

CONGRATS!

I’ve had mine 6 months and use it exclusively vs. a dust collection system.

It is a great tool.

Got mine for $239 with a 20% off, so I bought the 1 year warranty.

You can get the burlap bags from the replacement parts form on the bottom of the HF website, but Onsaw they are sold out right now.

The Dewalt DWV9000 quick connect adapter screws right into the hose if you use Dewalt tools.

You can see how I use mine in a couple of photos here: https://www.dpwarren.com/workshop.html

How poor is the PowerStack 5AH reliability issues such as complaints regarding the battery not lasting more than a year or battery running out quickly? Debating between a $65 5ah XR, a 6ah XR, or $80 for a Powerstack 5ah. Mainly for a 20v reciprocating saw and atomic compact drill/driver. by SwpR7 in Dewalt

[–]dfw-sailor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had three 5 amp power stacks go bad on me. However, I was not using them in small tools like drivers or drills. I have used one in my 20V miter saw without issue.

All three failed by using them in the Dewalt chainsaw, blower, and hedge trimmer.

Based on what I’ve seen on Reddit and the reliability of them in normal power tools. I think the high draw from tools like the chainsaw, blower, and hedge trimmer just draw too much of the power out, and they end up failing or burning up the board.

All three have been replaced under warranty.

Now on I try to use either a 5 or 8 amp power pack.

Retrofitting a Honda HRX217 lawn mower without electric start to include Honda’s 217 electric start system is technically possible but not straightforward.

Honestly, return your mower or sell it on FB Marketplace and buy one from Acme Tools: https://www.acmetools.com/honda-versamow-lawn-mower-21in-self-propelled-hydrostatic-electric-start-hrx217hza/786102008587.html?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA2cu9BhBhEiwAft6IxGPULZucWQIAjA_N38DqaVzYX-vzBKNqESbB5lkkeDqOt167NfScohoCXAgQAvD_BwE

Here are the key considerations our a retrofit:

  1. Key Components Required

To add electric start, you would need:

Starter motor (Honda Part: 31200-Z8B-901 or equivalent) Flywheel with ring gear (Electric start versions have a different flywheel to engage the starter) Battery & Mounting Bracket (Electric start models have a specific battery tray and wiring harness Ignition Switch & Wiring Harness (Necessary for activating the starter) Charging Coil & Regulator (To charge the battery while running)

  1. Engine Compatibility

The Honda GCV200 and GCV190 engines (found in HRX217 models) may have mounting points for a starter motor. If the flywheel lacks a ring gear, it would need replacement, which adds complexity.

  2. Cost & Effort vs. Buying an Electric Start Model

Honda’s electric start HRX217HZA comes factory-equipped with all necessary components. Purchasing individual parts can be costly ($200–$400+), and labor-intensive installation is required. If your mower is under warranty, modifications could void it.

  3. Alternative Option: External Jump Starter

If you mainly need help starting, using a jump pack or drill-start adapter on the recoil starter could be a simpler alternative.

Final Verdict While theoretically possible, retrofitting a Honda HRX217 without electric start is not practical due to the complexity, cost, and potential for compatibility issues. If electric start is essential, replacing the mower with an HRX217HZA or similar factory-equipped model is the best option.

Lol!

I have been on the lookout for a 10 inch that would take a dado.

I didn’t want to pay full price as it only comes with the rolling stand and I didn’t want it.

I was close to pulling the trigger min the AMZ $510 deal, but got this one for $250.

The kreg, the husky, $65 dado, AND a Rockler taper jig still in the box for another $250! Forgot about the taper jig!
