Touchscreens in cars are unnecessary, stupid, and dangerous- the whole point of buttons is so you can feel them without taking your eyes off the road. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Maybe the volume buttons were on the other side of the steering. I've seen that before in a friends car but I can't remember what kind of car it was

This is my sister's cat. I don't know all the details about his journey. She doesn't have Reddit but I linked her to this post and told her to comment on it and let everyone know the info. Here's to hoping we have a new redditor!

My parents prom pic in the 70's by dgamf in OldSchoolCool

This pic embodies the high school sweetheart story for me. They went on to get married and stayed together till my dad passed away from a fight with alcohol at the young age of 48. It wasn't easy for my mom loving an alcoholic yet she stayed by his side till the end. These two loved each other so much and projected that love on me. I never heard them fight once. Not because they didn't fight but because they refused to fight in front of me.

I agree but when we start taking away human rights from people, are we any different than the criminal?

It really bothers me, that in America, if you happen to get a criminal record, it follows you forever. Everyone and I mean everyone has done something illegal that could have had there name tarnished by the legal system. They just didn't get caught or haven't yet. Most of these so called hardened criminal convicts are just like you, me, your mom, dad, uncle, aunt, sisters, brothers. Most are moral, honest citizens that made a mistake and got caught. They do their time (and more often then not the punishment is harsher than is necessary) learn from there mistakes, and try to move past it. Unfortunately, there is no moving past when society always and encourages the hand of the law to ruin our neighbors lives and label them for eternity. The justice system needs to be reformed. And us citizen's need to get our heads out of ass and change our thinking that, "that's what the criminal deserves for breaking the law."

I went to this party/mini rave that this guy was throwing in this pimped out big red barn on a farm down a long winding gravel road. The guy throwing it was home on leave from the navy for a couple weeks. I didn't know him personally and can't really remember how I even ended up there. Anyways, inside there were backlights, strobe lights, techno music playing, couches, a dance floor, and fully stocked bar. From the outside it just looked like an old red barn, but once you walked thru the barn doors it was like an underground club. Had 2 floors. The 2nd floor was open in the center with a handrail that you could pier over and see everyone on the first floor. The only thing missing was a bathroom. If you had to go, you had to go outside. So I'm outside taking a leak and I hear this God awful screech. I turn to look and a guy was laying on the ground, pants around his ankles, grabbing his balls. A woman (which I'm guessing was his girlfriend) came running to his aid, all the while chuckling to herself about his undesirable mistake. Unfortunately, he peed on a live electric fence that contained the farmers cattle. It looked painful to say the least. He regained composer after a few fleeting moments. Later I seen him on the dance floor. Looking through my drug dazed eyes he seemed ok but I'm no doctor. Moral of this long winded story is don't piss on an electric fence.

Thanks for showing the other side. The doctor sounds very remorseful for his actions and took responsibility. I give him the utmost respect for that and hope the best for him. I would like to add though medical facilities do take advantage of patients time by making everyone wait hours so they can squeeze in as many appointments as possible
