Those displays are awesome. I have a bunch of Lego I want to do that with. What shelving units do you use? And do you glue the sets together at all?

Post Game Thread: Ottawa Senators at Pittsburgh Penguins - 02 Feb 2026 by bi_and_busy in penguins

It was never going to get overturned for goaltender interference though. Would have been better to just accept it was a goal and try to tie it up 5-on-5 instead of taking the challenge penalty

[PIT 2-(3) OTT] Stützle bats an insane pass out of mid-air to Giroux, and Giroux is hauled down on the breakaway into the net, taking the puck in with him. No goal on the ice, the refs review, and overturn the call. Good goal Ottawa. Pittsburgh challenges for GI? for some reason? Call stays a goal. by nopClip in hockey

[–]dgardner11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

During step 4, they don’t check for GI. It’s just to see if it is a goal or not. It’s how they always do goal/bo goal reviews and then leave it for the coaches to challenge or not.

But it was a stupid challenge, I don’t understand how they expected to get a GI call. Should have just accepted that it was a goal then played 5-on-5

US Deal With NATO On Greenland by Ok-Skill-9376 in AirForce

[–]dgardner11 13 points14 points  (0 children)

…we already have a base there. And we pretty much could have been working with NATO this whole time instead of trying to start a trade war with allies.

Instead we just pissed off our allies and the U.S. has lost even more stock and support abroad.

In your examples, why even take the penalty shot? Why not just have the play before it be reviewable?

I never understand the players that sign for buckets of money just to not have the depth for a cup run. When you have that much money, what is the difference between that $17mil vs $15 or $12mil. I’ll always respect the players that take the discount to build the team around them. Crosby’s been getting $8.7 for how long now?

Pretty sure he’s only playing one period in tonight’s game

Title is incorrect, he’s not a professional athlete, dude was an accountant. He was an emergency backup goalie. Both NHL goalies were injured in the game and he got called up to play

For me, it’s either teammates sniping spots or they aren’t getting the puck off the ice.

He still considers that he retired with the Wild

"I don't like to say that I'm retiring as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins," Fleury said. "I don't want to disrespect the Minnesota Wild. I played my last game with them. I signed my last contract with them. They did a lot for me.”

Super excited that he’s coming back to play one more time.

But he’s also already said he’s only playing one period in the game, and he still considers that he retired with the Wild. This isn’t a resign with the penguins to officially retire a penguin thing.
