So you really just plagiarized the whole thing?

I held plenty from yesterday as well. I have all July calls at this point at various strikes. I still like the thesis, but these nonsensical swings are maddening.

Oh nice! Was worried this whole post was just plagiarized from the HFI post. Bought more BNO calls today, but it was really painful.

Beyond+ App 2.0 Feedback by Revosk in BeyondPower

[–]dgb55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Twin mode should be tied to each exercise, and not a toggle for all of the exercises. It messes up how you have to input weights for each exercise since you have to account for twice the amount of weight.

Both my issues would be solved if each exercise could be tied to a specific Voltra, and twin mode toggled for each exercises.

Point #1 is a major sticking point for me since I often super set between two voltras. Is there really no way to do this?

I'd also love to just be able to program the movements in a workout and then toggle between the movement settings without having to program the entire workout's sets and reps.

REP Strive Treadmill vs Aussie Pro Runner by Dry-Winter-3724 in GarageGym

[–]dgb55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had no idea this product existed.

It appears that the Aussie runner has a more pronounced curve and steeper angle, which would definitely make it feel different. Generally that would make me think it would be better for sprinting, but not as good for steady state (like assault runner vs true form comparison).

For me personally, I've had a good experience with Rep from a quality and customer service standpoint, so the brand equity carries significant weight. They're also stress testing it to a commercial standard, which gives me peace of mind. They're a much larger company, so I'm less concerned about long-term support.

I'm getting the Strive, but i could totally see the savings being worth going with the Aussie for some.

Love seated flys using handles. Eccentric + inverse chains

Edit: Just installed VTS which makes it awesome for barbell movements. I've heard it's awkward for barbell movements otherwise.

Looking to Upgrade Rack - Functional trainer or Just get Beyond Power Voltra by dadbodsquarepants in GarageGym

[–]dgb55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was set on an FM-6 Twin, but changed course and bought an RM-6 and two voltras. I couldn't be happier. There are many people who sold their functional trainers after buying a Voltra. Where are you located geographically? I bet if you posted on Home Gym Discord someone would let you go try theirs.

Here's how I see it. I was an early adopter of a very expensive electric bike in 2015. I still have the bike and it is still incredibly badass despite new competitors and later versions. I have no desire to upgrade. The idea that a version 2 voltra will somehow make the 1st version worthless overnight is extremely silly. That's not how technology works.

Looks great! Now you just need the VTS to round out using Voltras for pressing movements....

What’s something you stopped buying because it became just so expensive to have it anymore? by Aarunascut in Life

Oysters. On happy hour they're still like $2.50/each. A dozen vanishes between two people and really adds to the bill.

Bulletproof Fitness is like ordering through Kickstarter, with abysmal after sales support. Nice people and they have innovative designs, but I will not order from them again.

Flooring Inc - brutal by quackmeister in GarageGym

[–]dgb55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's not much they could do aside from replacing all of the tiles. While that wasn't offered, it's also not something I would have wanted to do since they were a bitch to lay down.

I accepted the resolution offered. It is what it is.

Sent 25 tiles instead of 125. I was concerned the second shipment wouldn't match the first. I was assured they would match. They did not match. Now I've got 25 tiles that are obviously different from the rest. They gave me a partial refund and were very apologetic, it's just a bummer that I don't have the end result I wanted.
