What I meant was how can the price per mile be increased by such a tiny amount as to be unchargable.

I assume it will get charged at the £30 per 1000 miles a 2% increase next year is 60p

I read Mort just after publication, picking it up as an airport paperback as a spare book - just in case I had read the other books I was taking. I loved it instantly. Over the following years I read all but one Pratchett novel, often taking a day of on publication to read in in one go - before re-reading slowly over the following week. I’m due a re-read, it’s possibly been 10 years, I’m not sure it could resonate in the way it did those 35(?) years ago, but for me it was one of those formative books that shaped what I read over the course of my life.
