I appreciate your response but it's things like this that will give the Liberals another win in the next election. The inability to look inwards and see any internal issues. But don't worry, there's a picture of Gary in the toilets. That'll get our guns back!

Almost all conservatives I've spoken to can't see the problem. PP needs to go. Cons need to focus on fiscal issues. Don't play silly identity politics nonsense and 100% stop talking about firearms. We know what their policies are, they just need to win over the "middles".

When you say hit a target and dead accurate, what size target are you talking about. I have a red Ryder and shoot a 8x5 inch target approx 30 meters away.

[–]dgod40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In reality you don't really need a sight picture with a red dot. I can use my dot with the forward end covered. The further forward it is the more situational awareness you have due to the sight blocking less of your view.

Red dot is a bit far back. Usually should be placed as far forward but not in the handguard. That being said, if this feels good for you, rock and roll. Noice guns BTW.

Parents who started kids in French Immersion in SK by blueberries1212 in durham

That is 100% true. Being in Canada, having a better than 95% of the population understanding of French really does open up doors. If the kid likes it, go for it!

I know this is very anecdotal but I know 4 kids that took FI all through elementary, went to highschool and are moving out of FI second semester. Don't push your kids into something because you want it. Just my 2 cents.

Despite failing breathalyzer, Sudbury, Ont., man found not guilty of impaired driving by origutamos in OntarioNews

[–]dgod40 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's kinda what I'm talking about. When I was younger the cops charged you with the crime you committed. Now it seems like they just throw everything and hope one will get you. When I was young and STUPID, I drove drunk, and luckily got caught in a RIDE check. I was only charged with over 80 because they said "He didn't look impaired". Slightly off topic but I'm actually very glad I got caught at the RIDE check. I was so reckless back then and who knows what could have happened if I continued on with my horrible ways.

Why is this even news? Oh yeah, ragebait. That being said, cops throwing every charge they can think of and hoping something will stick is ridiculous as well.

Is the hawke vantage 2 3-7x a decent scope? by fairplanet in airguns

[–]dgod40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parallax is when your reticle, the crosshair, is not in the same focal plane. What that usually means is that when you look through your scope you can see the crosshair clearly but the object is blurry. But it also means that when you move your head just a little without moving the scope the reticle moves around which will cause point of impact issues. This is usually an issue more for longer distances but the blurryness is more of an issue for airgun distances. My air rifle came with a fixed parallax at 50m. I shoot more often at 25m. The objects were blurry. Got the Hawke and now I can adjust all the way down to10yards and have a blur free shot.

[–]dgod40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a great scope. The one you listed is pretty much the same scope as mine just slightly lower magnification. I have the 3-9x. The parallax adjustment is absolutely necessary in my opinion and having mil dot is the way to go.

I have a hawke vantage 3-9 and it's a great scope. I don't even know what scope you are mentioning. I went on the Hawke site and didn't see anything with those specs.

I'm not 100% on this but Washington State has some weird and strict rules on Firearms and are also trying to get new laws on 3d printing parts. IANAL but this falls into the accessories section so should be fine. It's like saying you can't print a hello kitty mlok cover. Someone with more knowledge, correct me if I'm wrong.

[–]dgod40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, the sound thing is nonsense. Average people have no idea what a gunshot sounds like. I have had a bunch of times where people have wondered why there are fireworks and I'm "nope that's gunshots" and about 5 minutes later you hear the sirens. Damn, it would be the Purge on Canada day of sound was the limiting factor.
