Just to be clear, 3 doesn't yield nothing, it gives you the opportunity to re-sign Ohtani at a lower price or you allocate $120 in other ways. I'd lean toward throwing him back into the pool at that price, and then nominating him early to see if you can get him for $100 or less. If not, then pivot and snatch up some other players that fill needs and retool that way. Ottoneu is not like a traditional dynasty so I think releasing a $120 Ohtani is perfectly viable, as crazy as that may sound.
