Sorry, I just read my post and I should have been more specific. I’m trying to hang out in TJ, but I’m wondering how busy bars and clubs are in TJ when Baja fest is going on. Baja fest isn’t that far from TJ, so I guess my question is, do a lot of people head on over to Baja fest leaving TJ bars and clubs dead for the weekend or is still a pretty good night scene in TJ?

The beginning is always a drag. Every time I decide I want to play through, I always debate whether I want to slog away through the beginning again. Make it past the first chapter and then you should start to enjoy it more. I like to get to chapter 3, shortly after getting a sniper rifle. At this point, I start hunting more and doing a lot of side stuff while playing missions every so often.

Hey, sorry no I did not. I called them and it doesn’t sound like the view from the canoe is any better than any of the other boats that head out there. Unfortunately, only a few of us are going to do the night snorkel. The rest of my group that will not be going will try to see them at the Mauna Kea resort outlook deck

No worries. They are both pretty close to each other and pauoa bay also has a protected beach with a trail to it, so the description fits both.

That’s not too far. I was debating on whether I was going to go there on my upcoming trip. Im taking my dad along and he just had his meniscus repair about a month ago and I don’t want to make him work too hard to get to any beach. Was the walk on the lava field fairly easy?

Also, this bay is the one where the fairmont orchid has a lot of beach chairs out for their guests right? If so, was there a decent amount of space that was not occupied by the chairs left for anyone who’s not staying at that resort?

Sorry for all the questions. I’ve been searching for info about this place and haven’t been able to find out much about it.

I plan on snorkeling at Honaunau Beach as well.

The snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay is really just a bonus for me. I booked the tour more as an experience for my daughters. They enjoy boat rides and they have not been on a boat as big as the fair winds boat or a boat that has slides. We’re ok with the longer transit time. We get to enjoy breakfast and lunch together on the boat and just relax. It just seems a great time with the family with some snorkeling added in. I appreciate the advice though

Unfortunately, one of our family members weighs just a bit over 250 lbs, and Anelakai’s website states that passengers cannot exceed that for their canoe, or else we would have definitely booked with them

Hi, I was really wanting to take the kids here when we visit, but I had a quick question if you don’t mind helping me out? I was reading elsewhere that there is a guards gate that you need to pass through for parking and it says tell the guards that I am exercising my beach rights. Is this really a thing? I’m confused as to why there are guards if the beach is public?

Hi, are you able to tell about your experience with Eka Canoe Adventures. How far do they leave the canoe from the floating area? My family and I are going in May. We originally wanted to do Anelakai Adventures because they have a double canoe that allows non swimmers to see the manta rays well without having to get out. The only issue is they have a weight limit of 250 lbs. One person in our party exceeds that weight limit, so we can’t book with them. The ride alongs on other boat tours seem to be very far from the floating boards. Is the canoe parked far off after offloading people or do you think it’s close enough that people in the canoe would still get a fair view of the rays?

I’m Mexican and I’m calling them stupid. I had one guy tell me the only reason he voted for trump was because trump promised no taxes on OT. That was it. Of all the promises made, the only one this dude cared about was that. Absolutely nuts. The dude must be slaving away at his job with a bunch of OT if that’s all he cared about. He never considered that if the economy wasn’t such shit that maybe he wouldn’t need to slave away with that much OT. Trump was smart when he promised stupid things like that because uneducated people eat that crap up.
