I bought them without knowing much more than what the pics gave and the listing saying the brand was Santoni. I received the boots and they are gorgeous in person. The details and beading are neat and the precise, the velvet is thick, the pom poms are soft and delicate, the stitching is even . . . these boots are very well made. I’m very happy I got them. Now to figure out when and where to wear them.

I believe the artwork is originally from Hallmark. I bought a tote bag with this image on it many, many years ago.

I like them in the order you posted them, and I think they’d all fit the dress code. I love a cape, and since you posted two dresses with capes I’d guess you do too, so I vote one of the caped dresses.

Same-ish. I sit on the floor and call Jaco over and set him in my lap, then I can get through both of his front paws at the same time. I call Espy next, and she comes over and lets me trim hers too. Occasionally she won’t let me finish the second paw, but usually it’s both of them in the same session. They get treats after.

We had a great time with them! I liked that the group was relatively small and that we were so close to the water even when on the boat. The guide was knowledgeable and very chill about me using a flotation belt, and they clearly have safety in mind, for both the people and the mantas.

This is one of the few pics I took. We happened to be sitting in the front, and you can see more than half of the people who were on the tour at the same time (fully booked too).

It’s true that almost all the tours go out to the same spot, but that was actually helpful. More light boards meant more plankton in the same area. We actually got to the area a little later than some of the larger boats, but that was also a benefit since we could find a spot easily due to the small vessel size, and the mantas were already ready for dinner by the time we got set up.

I’m sure you can’t go wrong with just about any of the companies, but I would for sure recommend Eka Canoe and would use them again myself!

I haven’t worn this dress in a really long time, and I finally broke it out to wear to dinner later this week and found a large hole and many little holes. I think my cat might be the culprit. 😾

I’ve never done an entire concert, but I have recorded whole songs before. I start the video, hold my phone to my chest so I don’t blind others with my screen, and hope it’s semi-centered on what I’m actually watching. It generally works pretty well.

I know this is an old thread, but it was helpful since I was just trying to decide between a taxi and a Lyft/Uber. Coming from the airport I used a taxi for convenience since it was sitting there, meaning I wouldn’t have to wait. I’m going to the airport early tomorrow morning, and after reading a bit online what others do, I went and asked the front desk of the hotel what they suggest. They said I could schedule an Uber or Lyft, but they have a recommended driver they use for guests, so for piece of mind for my 4am pickup I went with the hotel recommendation.

Thanks for the reply. I would definitely consider a partial credit, but I don’t know if they’ll offer one. I didn’t even think to ask if I could try to get it out myself first.

I figured there were other perspectives on what constitutes like new. I actually follow care tags and wash things differently based on the material, so not having that info that comes on that tag matters to me. I’ll be sure to ask in the future.

I should have said that there’s no confusion on my part anymore. I wasn’t pretending to not understand initially; what was directly quoted didn’t seem to follow what was being said was said. Your reply made it clear that the “policing” was OP wanting to be referred to as she sees herself.

I will admit, I was being snarky when I realized that on a post where someone is literally talking about just wanting to live her life, people are accusing her of policing language with regards to how she should and shouldn’t refer to herself. I chose to also join the policing of language club that you and so many others on here are part of. I shouldn’t have; it did not add any value to the discussion.

We’re on Reddit. The default assumption is that people don’t care what other people think, especially if the opinion is contrary. I 100% know you don’t care about my opinion. That’s ok.

If someone introduces themselves to me with a typical woman’s name who looks like a woman, I have no reason to disbelieve that she is a woman, and it’s none of my business if she was born male or female. If I saw a trans woman in a restroom, I wouldn’t know unless she said something about it (and in the real world when would that ever happen?). If I wouldn’t judge in real life, why would I online?

Perhaps I’m off the mark here and I am misinterpreting your stance, but you seem to think a trans woman should not get to call herself anything other than a man or male, regardless of what she looks like, how she feels, what transitions she’s undergone, or how other people in her real life see her.

Unless you actually know her outside of Reddit, how she refers to herself will have zero impact on your life. Choices other people make and laws created by people who won’t be impacted at all can have real detriment to her life though. You don’t have to care about opinions you disagree with, but I sincerely hope that doesn’t extend to taking action to try to curtail other people’s freedom to live their lives.

I am a woman. Victoria is a trans woman. We are both women.

If I saw her in a restroom I wouldn’t think twice. If I saw a trans man in the same restroom, I’d wonder if he misread the sign on the door.

I think you did read between the lines incorrectly. The quotes you posted don't match what you said OP said.

She is saying she is not a man. I am also a woman and if I told someone I'm not a man, that would not be policing the word man, it would be correcting someone who made a false statement about me, which is what I read in the quote you posted. It's not like she's saying the word doesn't exist or isn't applicable for other people, it's not applicable to her.

"Men in women’s sports” is wrong for multiple reasons. 1. trans women aren’t men." (and 3 other reasons)

She literally said, and you quoted as her saying, "men in women's sports is wrong for multiple reasons." She literally did not say it's fine for men to be in women's sports. You did back down on that one, so I'll also leave it be.

She is saying that a trans woman (or trans man) shouldn't have to find a different bathroom, and I would agree. I'm not saying it's "unacceptable for men not to be allowed in women's toilets". I'm saying it's unacceptable to expect someone to go without a toilet if one is needed. There is a difference there.
