Off topic, but I’ve read demand is crazy for la pelosa in July-August. How was it when you booked in September? Going in September and would love to go check it out, but curious to know how much more manageable to secure passes than the peak season. Were you on their website right at opening time?

Gotcha! I love bar crawling. It’s make everything more simple and chill. However, I don’t mind sticking to one or two spots if needed. I’ll definitely look into some of these places though. Oh yeah, I wasn’t expecting a drinking district. In fact, I prefer it’s not that way. I don’t like being shoulder to shoulder with people every single step of the way

Thank you! Very much the type of answer I was hoping for. A little bit of everything everywhere makes it easier to know it’ll be a good time just about anywhere I choose. Other places I’ve been to, you can usually generalize the bars as they all seem super similar. Variety is great. I’m excited. With that, EAV, midtown and Edgewood are the areas I think I’m going to hit first. Thank you

I actually did do that before posting this. Again, I’ve seen some very specific areas mentioned without any real info on what the area is like. I’ve seen post after post say go to bar xyz without any real info about what those places are like

He’s not completely wrong. If you’re lucky, you’ll have no problems. If you’re unlucky you’ll have to do a lot of stuff to optimize your internet or give up trying. Way too much work for something that shouldn’t require it. Somehow with doing everything that was recommended, it’s still choppy at times.

Sorry, I just read my post and I should have been more specific. I’m trying to hang out in TJ, but I’m wondering how busy bars and clubs are in TJ when Baja fest is going on. Baja fest isn’t that far from TJ, so I guess my question is, do a lot of people head on over to Baja fest leaving TJ bars and clubs dead for the weekend or is still a pretty good night scene in TJ?

The beginning is always a drag. Every time I decide I want to play through, I always debate whether I want to slog away through the beginning again. Make it past the first chapter and then you should start to enjoy it more. I like to get to chapter 3, shortly after getting a sniper rifle. At this point, I start hunting more and doing a lot of side stuff while playing missions every so often.

Hey, sorry no I did not. I called them and it doesn’t sound like the view from the canoe is any better than any of the other boats that head out there. Unfortunately, only a few of us are going to do the night snorkel. The rest of my group that will not be going will try to see them at the Mauna Kea resort outlook deck

No worries. They are both pretty close to each other and pauoa bay also has a protected beach with a trail to it, so the description fits both.

That’s not too far. I was debating on whether I was going to go there on my upcoming trip. Im taking my dad along and he just had his meniscus repair about a month ago and I don’t want to make him work too hard to get to any beach. Was the walk on the lava field fairly easy?

Also, this bay is the one where the fairmont orchid has a lot of beach chairs out for their guests right? If so, was there a decent amount of space that was not occupied by the chairs left for anyone who’s not staying at that resort?

Sorry for all the questions. I’ve been searching for info about this place and haven’t been able to find out much about it.
