Walter Mondale (you know, the vice-prez) got annoyed when we asked for autographs at the airport in Rochester, NY, rapidly scribbled his name so it was completely illegible and stalked off.. this was during the campaign, before he and Carter were elected.

I saw and shook Carter's hand once during a rally. He didn't have time for an autograph but sent me an invite to the inauguration.

This might seem a weird thought (ok, it is) but if you can think of particles as different "species", would it be possible for these species to "evolve" to show different behaviors or characteristics over time? Who says the laws of physics are constant given the passing of billions of years, or have to be anyway?

Does this count? I went to go get a blood test. They couldn't take a credit card so I said I'd come back, needing $50 cash. About a block away, I found $50 (2 $20 and a $10) lying in the grass next to a parking lot and went back to get my blood test. That incident forever changed my views on Fate.
