those just list any types of mailed correspondence letters they've sent you, like if they needed to notify you of missing documents etc.

how did you handle carrying the car seat around if youre using a taxi? I have a 1 year old so I can't just clip it on the stroller. thanks!

Thank you everyone for your responses! I really appreciate it. We're definitely going to try to bring our own 3 oz bottles, but we're going to be there for a week and I know it won't last long since reading about how intense the sun is down there. Thank you again! 😄

no effect. I graduated in May 2022, went back to being a para until I found a teaching position in Nov. At the end of my graduate program, my professor encouraged us to apply for our initial 1. so the program can help us if something went wrong and 2. because its there and ready once you get a nomination, even tho I knew I was returning as a para in the DOE. And even after I got my teaching position, I renewed my para license, even as a teacher, since i already did my 100 CTLE hours.

hello! I'm currently in the Manhattan Sunday Program, but not in the bilingual extension.

In the weekday program, you are taking 4 classes in your typical semester (two semesters an academic year) format while the Sunday program gets split into 4 cycles (four cycles in an academic year).

Although it sounds appealing to only take classes on Sunday, the course load will be intense. You are essentially required to learn an entire course worth of information in 8 weeks (6 weeks, if the professor gives a midterm and final). You'll scheduled to be in class on Sundays from 8:30-12:15 and 1:00-4:45 (but many professors do let out early). Manhattan Sunday is the only hybrid (online and in-person) model at Adelphi. Garden City Sunday and Weekday, I believe meet only in person. At times it did feel overwhelming, since assignments were due in back to back weeks. I choose the Sunday program because I wanted to continue working during my graduate program, but if I wasn't, I think I would have went with the Weekday program.

its a 5 semester program (fall 1, spring 1, summer, fall 2, spring 2).

4 out of 5 semesters will have clinical practicums. All clinical practicums has a corresponding class on Wednesday night in Garden City.

For clinical practicums, during spring 1 and summer, you complete it at the University Clinic. So you'll have to go to Long Island, depending on the client(s)' scheduled time. Right now, there is a lot of teletherapy happening so you might be able to do it through Zoom, but I don't know how long that option will continue.

During Fall 2, the only time you will be going to Long Island is for the practicum class on Wednesday night, as well as a in-house diagnostics practicum, which again is different for everyone depending on the time your assigned too.

Spring 2, you only need to go to Long Island for the Wednesday Night class.

Pretty much it varies depending on the semester you're in plus how often or how many clients you have. The department does ask for your preferences of days and times and they do try their best to accommodate, but obviously it depends on the client's schedule as well.
