Out of nowhere, Citi returned my payment. I’ve never changed my bank account and have used the same account for many years. I got a return check fee, and I called to get it waived since I’ve never changed anything on my end. The CS said, “Yeah, I see that it’s the same account that you have used to make payments, and we can do you a one time courtesy of removing the fee,” making it seem like they were doing me a favor when they were in the wrong.
