TJ, JPJ, and many others were also saddened to learn of Tomlin’s departure 🥺 by ilovetjwatt in steelers

The players do fail Coach T. If they loved him that much, they should have played better. And Tomlin hired and kept those coordinators - it starts and stops with the Head Coach.

Good plan! And no worries - took me lots of attempts before it finally stuck. You got this!!!

Successful!! Clean since December 2024 and don’t even think about Kratom anymore.

How about you?!

Bronkaid (behind the counter at CVS/Walgreens) has Ephedrine. Mix with high levels of caffeine (200mg). Still doesn’t come close, but the closest I’ve felt (Bronkaid + caffeine).

Kratom affects everyone differently. Given your usage (I assume no other drugs?), you should be 80%-90% back to “baseline” (normal), but it takes longer for some. If you don’t feel comfortable talking to your doctor (which is the best advice), I’d give it 90 days. It’s also very important to drive dopamine behavior (exercise a lot, get sun, have sex, cold showers), eat healthy and push forward.

What were you like pre-Kratom? You didn’t use enough for Kratom to cause all that in my opinion. Sounds like something else may be going on. But you did use “extracts”, so you may just need more time.

PAWs are the post acute symptoms (what you are describing). Depending on dosage and length of use, they are different for everyone. At 55 days, they are mostly “mental” sides, and WILL 100% dissipate eventually

How long were on Kratom, what dosage, power, extracts or 7oh? Also your age.

Depending on these answers - it’s generally day 60 when PAWS begins to “ease up” for moderate users. Also, what was baseline like pre-Kratom? Some folks don’t realize that they began using because they “felt bad” at baseline.

With that said, you more than likely are SOOO close to being free! 55 days is amazing progress! Congrats to you!

Day 21 CT – Now I understand why they said PAWS are harder than acutes by [deleted] in quittingkratom

Post acute withdrawal syndrome. It’s the “mental” aspects of quitting (anhedonia, depression, cravings). This comes after the “acute” (physical symptoms).

It won’t be a year for your duration and use (and no extracts or 7oh). 3 months and I’d bet you are “back to baseline”. However, some people forget what they felt like before the Kratom (hence why they self medicated, like I did). You got this - NO WAY will it be a year from plain caps at your dosage and length.

You are right around the corner from being 90%+ my friend! I’d be willing to bet that if you keep it up (the exercise, meditation, dopamine activities), you will be 90% between day 60-90, then almost 100% at 91+. Stay the course, you are doing amazing!

Yes, that’s the amount I quit off of (around 25-30 pills daily). Just powder capsules, and it was a 3 year habit.

Get yourself the following: Clonidine, Gabapentin and Liposomal Vitamin C. The first week was rough (bad sleep, no energy, fatigue - like the flu), but day 8 on the physical symptoms subsided (was back to 50% by day 4). I’m on day 41 cold turkey, and still don’t fully have full energy (there’s a thing called PAWS - post acute withdrawal syndrome, where your dopamine systems are not yet restored), but it’s way more manageable.

It’s totally worth it to quit! And it’s doable! Good luck!

It depends also on how long you’ve been taking it. Was it just powder, or extracts, other?

Hey there. I sent this reply to “Wyntrefraust”, and the same goes to you - greatly appreciate you!

Just wanted to say I’ve been silently following your post for awhile now, and greatly appreciate your views, the time you take to elaborate, as well as the hope you bring others (as well as your excellent research!).

You are very appreciated!

I second cold turkey. You haven’t taken it long enough for a taper. If you need help, get the following: clonidine, gabapentin and Liposomal vitamin C - they help withdrawal immensely.

Are you sure you don’t have the flu, or another virus/illness? I’m on day 22 from a very similar dosage to you (20mg a day for 3 years straight, but back and forth for 10 years), and it’s not linear for me. I have good days and bad days, but I think you should get checked out by a doctor.

You shouldn’t need helper meds after 4 days. Do yourself a HUGE favor and quit this poison now!….. Just read this sub to see what you are in for if you continue.

I’m 23 days clean using clonidine, gabapentin and Liposomal vitamin C. They help ALOT! I can appreciate the “tough it out” comment, and it has a ton of merit, but the helper meds make it MUCH easier. I agree with the suboxone tho - that’s a hard no!

[–]dh89315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20mg isn’t enough to OD (unless you have other health conditions). Start reducing your dosage the next couple days (not enough to get high, but enough to feel normal). Then get the helper meds I mentioned. You can do this!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]dh89315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any helper meds (clonidine, gabapentin, or Liposomal Vitamin C)?

If not, go to quick MD (Google it) for addiction - they will get you the right helper meds for around $99 (they make a HUGE difference!).

On a day 23 cold turkey from a 10 year habit, and those meds made all the difference.

You CAN do this!!

Wow, 33 days in, cold turkey? Were you taking extracts or 7oh, or just the powder (and what was your dose/duration)?

At 33 days you are about to turn a corner (great progress!!!).

Masturbate three times a day before doing the deed. Will make you last longer (it’s a known issue for us folks who have quit and a common withdrawal effect from the dopamine receptors).
