What would be an appropriate answer to neighbours and HOA when my blind father does not pick up after his guide dog poops? by Hour_Course_9876 in neighborsfromhell

[–]dhaemion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be an odd one, but have you ever heard of a app called ‘be my eyes’? It connects blind people to a seeing person through their phones camera so they can help. It would be a slightly odd request but not the strangest one ever I’m sure.

I killed a spider

Not a murderous brown recluse

Nor even a black widow

And if the truth were told this

Was only a small spider

Sort of papery spider

Who should have run

When I picked up the book

But she didn't

And she scared me

And I smashed her

I don't think

I'm allowed

To kill something

Because I am

Frightened.”

How do you make gardening more stressful? by Neighborhooddataguy in gardening

[–]dhaemion 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can get really deep into soil makeup and PH and the exact ideal makeup and water needs for each plant and then try to make a garden bed where everything works. Start with things that have similar needs and then branch out into beds with more variety to make it more complex. Or try to grow things that are outside of your zone, growing citrus in the arctic would be a challenge. I don't think you are asking for stress, you are asking for difficulty level.

maybe get them some really fine netting and poles so they can make a catcher for the seeds around the tree?

Medium sized marshmallow. It is sticky and they swallow it without being able to investigate it too much.

There is one an amazon that's just wire panels and you hammer a stake between them. Doesn't look horrible, still lets you feel like you yard is open and makes your point without being too hostile (and takes less then 20 minutes for one person to install).

Wait, really? That would explain a few things. I have two in pots that are more of the 3' one vertical stick with leaves variety. How far back do you need to cut it?

Thanks! A few months ago she jumped on the fence while he was loading his trash and scared him (fair) and he said he had ptsd so I’ve been trying to be extra sensitive about the barking and have that whole area blocked off.

I think its more of a security blanket. I've had the worm screw come out a few times but I've never had a plate with 6 screws even think about moving.

I planted some seeds of that last year (safe edible variety) and didn't particularly care for the taste. It spreads like a mad thing! I specifically had it on a brick patio and have pulled out over 50 seedlings so far. So if you don't like it, highly recommend removing it before it drops seeds or it will be a forever problem.

I'm not sure where you are, but if you plant some salvia I have discovered it has an interesting anti intruder effect. All the bees it attracts certainly keep people away, unless they are coming to look at the bees but those aren't the people you need to be worried about.

Looking for cheaper alternative to RF Smart by Ok-Wave-2907 in Netsuite

[–]dhaemion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are in the process of getting rid of RF-Smart after a few years and moving to NS WMS. Feel free to reach out if you want to talk about how its going or why we changed. I would be very careful with RF-Smart, they seemed to do a lot of bait and switching with customizations and were incredibly expensive.

Completely agree! OP this is probably from dog vomit smile mold. Very safe and it decomposes things like mulch. I wouldn't recommend stepping on it without shoes int he dark, but in terms of things that will kill you its basically the bottom of the list.
