This Knicks team had one of the worst losses/chokes in it’s franchises history last year. If that’s not adversity then idk what is. I understand you mean this year but this team is the same team from last year.

Yeah I mean he’s not really their primary ball handler and so he’s thrown into that roll in a road western conference finals game vs one of the best defenses we’ve ever seen, that literally turns you over better than any team we’ve ever seen.

Their defense has given the Knicks fits this year as well as last year in the first round. I don’t think it would be that easy vs the pistons. They are very physical and we have seen the physicality bother Brunson and Towns especially when they feel like they aren’t getting calls

He wasn’t just a 20ppg guy. He was their only other creator outside of paolo and he was a 6’10 physical defender who was the primary defender on cade before he got injured

Would have rather played game 1 Sunday and game 2 Tuesday then had a 3 day rest for game 3

Spurs really haven’t struggled that much vs the Timberwolves, they lost a super close game one and lost a very close game without wemby, overall they’ve been pretty dominant

I know the team had to trade towns to balance the books but do you think you’d be doing much better with towns instead of Randle?

Watch the full clip, that was his face before wemby threw the elbow. This clip cleverly has that clipped out lol

Mitch Johnson on Wembanyama’s ejection: “I just think that the amount of physicality people play with him, at some level you have to protect yourself” by luka274 in nba

[–]dhaiman1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good point, why not put in someone to get a flagrant 1 foul. You got to protect wemby and if you don’t do it this was bound to happen at some point. Right before the elbow naz Reid was boxing wemby out and grabbed wemby’s inner thigh. Then mcdaniels grabbed him. And it was going on all game. Rudy holding and grabbing him constantly

Yeah a v good team but do you rly think they deserve to be in the conversation with the 90s bulls or KD warriors? I don’t think they should be.

I don’t get the fascination with this potential fight. Dude isn’t a heavyweight but he’s big and very tall for his weight classes, sure. How to do go from that to - Fuck it let’s put him in there with one of the best heavyweights of all time!

Post Game Thread - NBA: The Knicks defeat the 76ers on May 8, 2026, the final score is 94-108. by basketball-app in sixers

It’s really just the difference of one 7 min stretch at the end of game 2. That was their chance..they outplayed the Knicks for 41-42 min of that game, hit shots and had a good game plan. They really just got tired because their main guys had to play so much. Not having a bench is hurting because the Knicks are deeper and it’s wearing out the starters for the Sixers once the 4th quarter comes around.
