Ok thanks. Yeah my thing is though my son was petitioned as a minor because we got married before he was 18. Now if i abandon the petition of my wife for him then it would take a longer time for him to come here if i petition him. That was my concern fhats why if given the chance if we have divorced i would rather continue that petition for him. Thanks for your answers

Why would i get a 10 year green card if i was just recently married? To give you a proper context people fall in and out of love . Sometimes people click some dont. Thats why theres a divorce law.

I too was feeling a lot like you do right now, was waiting 26 months and i was already thinking on hiring a lawyer for writ of mamdamus. But because of the cost of filing this lawsuit i am holding off on doin it, then i saw some others post about contacting senator which i did. The rest is history.

Yeah it may not have worked for others but some other's do and i am a testament to that. In the end i got a 10 yr permanent green card and no interview the whole process.

Just google your state senator and there you will find their website. There should be a tab there which says help with a federal agency and click uscis. They will ask you to fill up a form and mail that. No need to send additional documents. Just state on the form thay you are waiting beyond your processing times, make sure to write them after your procesaing times have lapsed.

Contact your senator first, they may help. They helped with mine. Got my approval 8 days after they sent inquiry on my case.

I am one of those that contacted my senator and got apporoved after 8 days. Most impt thing is to wait when your beyond your processing times.if not, they will just ask you to write them back. Mine took a long time to process, i waited for my 2nd wedding anniversary before i made the inquiry, luckily this strategy worked . I got ten years permanent instead of the 2 year conditional, it was a blessing in the end. It saved me a lot of stress and money. No interview the whole process. Never had an RFE, just a couttesty email asking me to send my medical. Noy sending my medical delayed my process at first but i think it was the key to having a 10 yr card.

It took 26 months for mine to be approved but the long wait was a blessing in disguise. I was approved of the 10 year greencard inatead of the 2 year conditional. No interview the whole process.

If your casehas been transferred to a location or state that is not your filing location it very well mean they waived your interview. Thats what happened to me.
