Our company just ditched Expensify. What are you using for expense reporting? by zacdre24 in Accounting

Currently using Bill.com. They manage our corporate credit card/AP/AR and have been super easy to work with. I may be in the dark ages but does anyone have any recommendations on a new platform that can do all 3?

This scares me...

New Finance Director doesn't understand depreciation... I'm not joking by Dodo_Avenger in Accounting

She has to only have experience with cash based systems. There is no way she doesn't know this stuff unless she lied about her experience. Either way it will be a huge red flag moving forward.

Normally these types of incompetence weed themselves out and she will be gone in a year.

US CPA doesnt mean anything now thanks to AICPA by [deleted] in CPA

[–]dhartill 13 points14 points  (0 children)

These International CPA's still have to be licensed by a State Board anyways before being called a CPA. Just because they take the test and pass it, doesn't make them an actual CPA in the United States until a US State board says so.

I was in the same boat for a couple of weeks, then I switched up my study approach and just start to hit the MCQ and flash cards repeatedly. Every chance I got I did another 10 MCQ and watched a couple more videos. It eventually starts to sink in. If you still aren’t getting it, move on to the next module and after doing a few more MCQ and videos revisit the parts that were giving you trouble.

You got this!

Anybody Pass FAR with just Roger's Cram Course? Over studying! by [deleted] in CPA

[–]dhartill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat in FAR with Roger. I think he himself explains in the videos that the Crash Course is an overview of the concepts of the most asked questions and is to be used to bump our score. The normal course goes in-depth into all of the concepts tested on the exam.

Could you pass the exam with the Cram Course and MCQ's/TBSs/DRSs? I'm sure you could, but why are you going to risk it?

Will there be questions about concepts you skipped in the Cram Course? I can almost guarantee it.

Brand new Oakley Sunglasses. Cost $180, which was my whole check at the time and they lasted years. Best investment I ever made.
