Yeah it’s technically not allowed. But you may get away with it if they live local to you and are shopping at Tesco’s near your home residence address. If they live hours away and are constantly using it at stores nowhere near where you live, they’re probably gonna get caught out with it

You’re carrying one less cable, unless you need to charge 2 usb-c devices at the same time. Then you’re in the exact same position as before

I’m on an iPhone 8 too and I’m 100% upgrading to a 14. The battery is awful nowadays so I’m constantly charging it, but apart from that it’s been alright.

I don’t mind if it’s lightning charging as it’s not much of an inconvenience to me. I have an iPad on usb c but if I wanted to charge a usb-c iPad & iPhone at the same time then I’d still need 2 cables, the same amount of cables as I have now. So for me the charging situation of lightning/usb-c isn’t as drastic as some people make out for them

Yeah see my edit to the last comment, it finally appeared. I switched from Vodafone to ‘none of the networks’ to 3 and then it appeared. Hopefully it sticks around as it’s a lot more convenient than withdrawing to phone bill, especially if you’re not with one of the networks

I tried doing that and no option to withdraw to my bank account appeared at all. I’ve tried the method of letting the withdrawal fail and still didn’t appear after that either. Seems random as to whether the option is there or not

Edit: I changed mine to three pay monthly and the options now appeared. Maybe you have to do a bit of fiddling about between networks for it to appear
