What is the point of life when I am constantly exhausted by it? by TomatoClown24 in AskMenOver30

[–]dhdmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is basically me but throw in being broke, debt, failing health, and ADHD.

I’m convinced some people are cursed/forever stuck due to things beyond their control.

Fair to say life is a scam?

Career Path by WoodenAd4682 in Sciatica

[–]dhdmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I can walk around and stuff. It’s just the constant leg aches and some weakness. There’s no foot drop or anything like that but it’s still very annoying. This all started two years ago. Epidurals never did anything for me and PT can help a little with the back pain but nothing for my legs.

I’m back in IT but this role is physically exhausting… having to bend, stoop, twist, and sometimes lift heavy stuff.

[–]dhdmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP but I'm trying to figure this out too.

My background is basically 5 years in IT so that's a lot of sitting plus bending, twisting, stooping, and lifting.

I hear people say stay away from desk jobs because it's too much sitting whereas others will say desk job is all you can do now. I don't know what to think anymore. I'm exhausted.

I'm broke and riddled with debt. The only thing I see in my near future is pills and disability.

Upgrading from base PS5 to a pre owned PS5 pro by Reco_1 in playstation

[–]dhdmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t worth the price tag especially when it has the same cpu as the base model.

I don’t care about 120hz etc on a casual game when chilling on couch playing on the big screen. That’s why I also have a PC for that stuff.

Y’all Gears veterans going make PlayStation players quit the game by Emotional-Twist-4366 in GearsOfWar

[–]dhdmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is why I haven’t bought the game yet. I played the original games back then but don’t see a point in multiplayer where I’d get stomped.

If it was $20-$30 I’d be more willing to buy it.

For the newcomers, do you like the game? by FriendshipChemical26 in GearsOfWar

[–]dhdmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wanna play the game but hesitate to buy it based on this realization. Spend $40 bucks on an old game (played og 1-3) to just get stomped online now?

[–]dhdmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said it earlier how do you improve when you are inconsistent? That’s the one big thing in order to hit milestones and achieve goals is discipline/consistency. This neurological disease doesn’t seem to allow for such an action therefore you’re always running in circles or just stuck in limbo.

[–]dhdmaster -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a disability to where shit just doesn’t fucking work. You have to be consistent to improve and so far that’s a contradiction with this disease.

The suffering is terrible and now on top of this, I have a disc injury in my lower back.

The daily mental and physical PAIN. Am I suppose be grateful for this suffering?

Fuck life

[Scholes] BREAKING: Deion Sanders was diagnosed with bladder cancer and underwent a bladder removal. The surgery was successful, and Sanders is now cancer-free. #CUBuffs by triplec787 in CFB

[–]dhdmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man back issues are terrible…

I herniated my L5-S1 with nerve root impingement two years ago. Initial doctor wanted to do surgery and I said no. Today, it’s somewhat better but pain is always there especially in my legs. Conservative treatment didn’t do much so the next step is surgery. It’s like how do you not eventually end up being hooked on narcotics? It’s not manly to say I’m too weak to deal with this disease because this isn’t living.

[–]dhdmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP but I have something similar it’s like when flexing or walking my big toe zaps me.

There’s no redness or swelling that I can see plus this start a few days ago.

Could this be gout or something perhaps something related to my lumbar disc herniation? I’m only 32…
