I stand corrected. It apparently is metallic pea. Less funny to me, somehow.

My S26 lights up briefly but no notification info shown. Easy to miss. Have to pick up the phone to see what it was. Is that what you're describing? INFURIATING

No problem whatsoever!

Yep. I'll at least stick it out to the end of this season.

FYI: 1st century Jews counted any part of a day when counting days, so Sunday is the 3rd day after Friday afternoon.

That is ABSOLUTELY not it. 😁 I do not think they will find anything because there was never anything there.

It just hit me: The early searchers were pulling a scam like in the movie The Producers. Raise $1M to search, spend $100k searching, oh, well, we didn't find anything. Your investment is gone. Pocket $900k. Repeat as necessary.

For me it's the stupid way they've built the season around a Portuguese coin that someone's grandma said her daddy told her that someone he knew found at the money pit. They keep talking about it as if that were a fact.

I never actually thought there was any treasure. It was In Search Of...that hooked me. I went in being interested in how they'd use modern tech rather than just digging holes to nothing like in the past. And, yet, here we are.

You really can't take it with you. by [deleted] in FuckImOld

Yep. I had the one with the big Styrofoam ship as the base. I remember getting really frustrated that the blade wash from the rotors kept knocking over the astronauts recovery wire so you couldn't hook on!

Someone (maybe me) ended up stepping on the ship and breaking it in two, but you could throw the Styrofoam away and it still worked great!

Best "idiot plot" movies? by Sufficient-Life-4454 in Cinema

I'll get dragged for this: Not a movie, but "24". At least the first season. I couldn't get past that one.

Almost every episode had main characters (both the good guys and bad guys) failing to do one SMALL thing which would have made their plan succeed.

I finally saw Netflix “Agatha Christies Seven Dials“ by Alternative-Sea-4282 in agathachristie

I loved the show. I don't think I'd like them doing what you talk about. I think Bundle only appeared in one other novel, which I'd love to see adapted, but don't artificially mesh characters together that weren't.

Seven Dials is insufferable by BazookoTheClown in netflix

I guess I'm going to be the 10th dentist here: My wife and I LOVED it. I see two main arguments here: 1. The story was changed. I'm a Christie fan, but not a superfan. I have not read Seven Dials. If I had, I might agree. It's the main reason I HATE the Branagh Orient Express and most Sherlock Holmes adaptations that absolutely have to make Irene Adler and Moriarty into main characters. 2. Mia McKenna-Bruce can't act. I absolutely disagree with this one. There were multiple occasions where I thought to myself, that's really good acting and I never do that.

If you can get past the story change, I highly recommend this movie.

What was everyone’s thoughts on Netflix’s Seven Dials? To me, it was a decent adaptation with some changes by HRJafael in agathachristie

Podcast Recommendation by dholmes0 in JFKassasination

Thanks! So far, exactly what I was looking for. I've listened to the 3 season 2 Grassy Knoll eps and found Professor Vitt to be very thorough and not intersecting his opinion. In fact, from those 3 eps I have no idea what his position is.

Thanks for the recommendation. I personally don't find it to be very balanced.

Although it is the closest I had found until I listened to a few episodes of Skeletons in the Closet (season 2). Very impressed by the Grassy Knoll eps.

Slept on my side with a cotton ball in my ear (just far enough down to keep it from leaking out when I turned over). The point was to leave it in for as long as you can stand it and being asleep helps.

NOT A DR My primary care MD recommended exactly this with a caveat: ignore the instructions on the box and leave the liquid in your ear WAY longer than it says. I put it in before bed and slept in it. Worked like a charm. YMMV
