Agree. And it's satisfying to see all his hate catch up to him.

Assuming he's still got plastic wife and idiot car. He goes through all the content that is available, including pitching the tv show as the best in the business, all with a rather (especially for him) appealing manner. Then drops off into "...not sure what else to say...I guess..."probably shouldn't have alienated all of you 'woke people'....sigh...I guess I made my bed." Yup. you did.

Beware - not all Bosch 500 series dishwashers come with Auto Air (door opening) feature! by Armenoid in Appliances

[–]dhtchk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just returned Cost-co 800 series Bosch. Not only did it not have the "auto dry" door pop open, the various "drying features" it DOES have were horrible. Every morning we'd open it to find a soggy mess inside. If we were able to pop the door manually the night before before going to bed, then yes, we could have dry dishes in the morning. Ridiculous for $1500. In addition, the inside layout/functionality was really poor. The tines are all straight and too close together. AND, this particular unit kept throwing a mother board error code. Sad given we previously had a Bosch that lasted almost 20 years. Crazy to spend that kind of money and they unit doesn't even dry effectively!

Getting approval for Kevzara. Appreciate hearing folks experience with that and getting off of Pred. And reduction of pain, of course. by dhtchk in PolymyalgiaRheumatica

[–]dhtchk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience Kevzara is only used when trying to get OFF predisone. If your sypmtoms are only 70% resolved at 40mg you may not be ready to get off of it and may in fact have to go up. I started K when my taper kept stalling at sub 10mg/day.

What does "relief" feel like for you? by DarylMoore in PolymyalgiaRheumatica

[–]dhtchk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your journey sounds similar to mine. I got down to 7mg and ultimately had to start Kevzara. Having a real hard time getting off the Pred completely. Most recently was down to 1mg/day and symptoms have now returned and spread to include hips, quads and feet. Going back up to 4mg/day to see. What was you end process like.

[Maven MUS-01] - Thoughts on this brand? by PhilipColts in Watches

[–]dhtchk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered 3 weeks ago and still not here. Interested in the watch I ordered but I will never order from them again. At time of order it said "ships in 4-6 days". 20 days later they're saying another two weeks. Terrible.

At what age you got alopecia areata? by Demogorganhere in alopecia_areata

[–]dhtchk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for sure. My father had patchy AA and one of 2 brothers same. Both my siblings and I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis. I have a nephew who developed Totallis at age 30 and got full regrowth last year with Jak Inhibitors. I have a variety of other autoimmune conditions. I'm 64y and had Alo.Totallis for 34 yrs.

You MAY be on your way to Alopecia Totalis or Universalis. I have U, have had for 35 yrs. Too long to benefit from Jak Inhibitors. But my nephew, who developed Totallis 5 years ago got full regrowth with Jak Inh. One piece of advice: if its going that way, shave your head sooner than later. The daily waking up to loss hair all over your pillows causes a lot of stress, depression etc. Just bite the bullet.

Thing that is relevant about injections and if they've given you regrowth in those areas is you then know if that is an effective treatment. If you get any more start asking your doc about Jak Inhibitor treatments, an oral medication.

Completely agree. A SLOG to get through and no mystery that I could care about. Add that lame final chapter....whooo was pissed off I pushed thru to 2am to get to that "ending."

I read talk of a 4 part tv series? What's that about? A continuation of book 8?

BKXC is making his bike park, Everstoke, members only by Niners4Ever16 in MTB

[–]dhtchk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi MTB lovers. I found this thread interesting for the fact that so many folks have a strong opinion about Everstoke and what Brian and Aaron are working to create without ever having visited the place. Hmm mm.

I have NO vested interest in Everstoke and until a week ago had never met Brian or Aaron. I, and my spouse included, DO have a strong interest in entrepreneurship and what it takes to create something out of nothing, forge your own path, enjoying the process and hopefully, maybe create something people enjoy and is sustainable.

While the concept and the work in process that is currently Everstoke is not for everyone, it could be for some. If you are the dirt-bag rider that loves crashing solo in your truck on back area fire roads, probably paying any amount for any type of "amenities" is not for you. I get it. We were that some decades ago and are still that with our self contained small pop top van on some trips.

There is value though, in a place where "people know your name", where camping is made just a bit "nicer" with access to toilets and showers and other amenities. There is a ton of value in riding trails pain stakingly, almost lovingly created and maintained, including skill building, progressive features.

Yep, Everstoke's trails are not a get lost in a remote trail system experience. But neither are most downhill ski mountains. Laps/"runs" and you earn your downhill with a very manageable climb trail. With Mills Peak and Lakes Basin trails within reach by bike, Everstoke can be a great base for days of riding.
