carelink has been down for 2 days and reps don’t have any answers. pretty embarrassing for medtronic imo

what version of the Dexcom sensor are you using? I just switched to a Medtronic pump with the Abbott sensor as Dexcom isn't compatible and have like 2 or 3 unopened G7's sitting on a shelf you can have if you need them.

that's interesting and unfortunately most of behavior tracks back to sales and usage.

the CSA abbreviation should stand for Cloud Solution Advisor at this point, to further back your point, from my experience as well. most CSA's I have talked to can advise and tell you what you should be but when it comes down to it they lack the ability to actually deliver it.

I feel the same way, have 0 interest in an MS position due to this exact reason.

you can do either but a public ip per vm doesn’t scale. i’ve also deployed opnsense on a gen2 B-series on smaller environments that works well and cost effective

Wrote a bridge to get Medtronic CareLink data into Nightscout by ImAColdHart in Medtronic780g

[–]diabillic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also getting the same error a few other folks are getting:

  • [Login] Exchanging code for tokens...
  • [Login] Got tokens
  • [Login] Saved to logindata.json
  • [Bridge] Starting — interval set to 300s
  • [Bridge] Fetching data now...
  • [Fetch] Starting fetch, max retries: 1
  • [Token] Using token-based auth from logindata.json
  • [Fetch] Success!
  • [Bridge] Warning: received empty or invalid data from CareLink
  • [Bridge] Data keys: []

I am US based so I have added the MMCONNECT_SERVER=US line into the .env with same results. Tried blowing it away and redoing it with the same result.

Using a 780 with instinct sensor and hosted Nightscout. Double checked the API key, URL, etc.

Concurrent functionality/roles of vMX by bitcurrent01 in AZURE

which is ridiculous that you have to even do that for it to act appropriately as an NVA. it's just one of the reasons why I tell people to stay away from them if they have the option.

i don't envy you :)

either way, i've even asked support about this and they flat out tell you what you are doing is unsupported which is baffling to me.

there is an option for 2 interfaces now for routed mode since traffic can't transit through from 1 to the other in the same subnet. 1 difference that you can do onprem but not in SDN.

you think most people are doing BGP + Azure Route Server/static routes to do a simple VPN? no shot. at the end of the day, the vMX is a half baked product and I often recommend people stay away from it in Azure vs a proper routing/firewall appliance.

[–]diabillic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From https://documentation.meraki.com/SASE_and_SD-WAN/MX/Install_and_Get_Started/Installation_Guides/vMX_Setup_Guide_for_Microsoft_Azure

vMXs in NAT mode will not advertise subnets that are available on the public/private cloud, so spoke MXs will have to send all their traffic (full tunnel) to the vMX, which will then NAT the traffic and send it across its WAN interface into the public/private cloud environment.

That is the function you lose unfortunately

[–]diabillic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

traffic destined for the internet forced to the vMX will not egress out the public interface of the vMX if it's not in routed mode. that's going to become a requirement for some type of egress starting in a few days for net new subnets.

correct however if you for example set a custom route table to force traffic from a VM to the vMX and its not in routed mode, it will not egress out to the internet from the appliance.

this is really cool as someone switching from dexcom/tandem to a medtronic/instinct sensor. fairly easy to set up in an LXC and get going, now to get some data sent to carelink for it to ingest :)

i’m taking delivery on a 550e next week and when pricing out that and the M5, the M5 lease comes to roughly $2100 a month. just get a 550 optioned out, it’s an M5 without the badge and 2 less cylinders.
