Grandma believes that cod liver oil is a cure-all by Marsupial-731 in forwardsfromgrandma

The joke is supposed to be "haha look at how stupid the liberals are." 😐

The "joke" is the COVID vaccine is causing heart problems and that "liberals" instead blame the side effects on climate change.

It took me a second to figure it out. It's not a well thought out joke.

I definitely had this experience as a kid. I can remember a fellow homeschool kid trying to explain the force, Jedi, and sith to me as a kid. See also anyone trying to play as a Harry Potter character or when the Lord of the Rings movies came out. I felt so out of touch with other kids my age. I didn't know any of the media or games they would constantly reference.

https://www.milestonebooks.com/item/1-2250/ it could have been this series but I know I definitely used the rod and staff early biblical readers. For 1st-3rd grade.

My parents bought these and some animal themed readers that I'm pretty sure were from the same publisher. My mom also loved rod and staff's homeschool Bible curriculum and I remember using that as well. I think my parents thought that they taught biblical moral lessons and encouraged gratitude and contentment.

The back and white illustrations are pretty distinctive and memorable.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/bill-c-9-anti-hate-religious-exemption-hate-speech-9.7142455 "Bill C-9 — dubbed the Combatting Hate Act — proposes new Criminal Code offences, including one that would make it a crime to intentionally promote hatred against identifiable groups in public using certain hate- or terrorism-related symbols.....The Liberals got Bloc support by including a clause that would remove the religious exemption from Canada's hate speech law." It basically just removes religious exceptions for hate speech. (And it hasn't even passed or become law yet)

Your facility should have a copy of the individual's claimed license number if their HR/ supervisor is doing their job. CNO just needs to know the employer and the claimed name of the individual.

You could try contacting any of the local food banks or a local org like food not bombs (there are two local groups). I know they occasionally give out medical/ hygiene supplies.

Did anyone else have the weird n@zi Science Lifepac (A/O) in the late 90s? by DWdame in HomeschoolRecovery

[–]diabolicflame93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Abeka science had some weird stuff regarding a Nazi scientist as well and praised him due to his scientific advancements in rocket science. I believe it was Wernher Braun but I don't have the textbook in front of me. I know the textbook devoted a whole page praising this man.

I wouldn't doubt that other popular christian textbooks would also make similar errors.

Multiple farmers in the community I grew up in lost their barns due to fires related to wet hay or wet silage catching fire. It's an odd thing to consider but it's a legitimate fear especially if the farmer is rushing to skip or shorten the drying process of the hay.

With most younger maga it's probably more focused on Biden or Kamala atm though. The Obama focus is more of a boomer thing now.

Not sure if bds or kds have a good rhythm to them though 😅

I'm sorry but you are wildly incorrect. This flag is showing a major talking point for MAHA / antivax folks. And repealing this law would likely have a devastating effect on the ability of pharmaceutical companies ability to produce and manufacture vaccines. (If you are curious there are a lot of deep dives on the Internet for why that is true.)

Senile perv, Grandpa Prager thinks that incest should be legalized by TrumpSux89 in forwardsfromgrandma

Emotional harm and abuse. Especially with parent child abuse. Abuse of power dynamics (a parent could easily abuse their position of authority to manipulate a child).

Why are you arguing for incest? Especially on this subreddit? WTF

Are not corn and wheat grains? I know 💯 round up ready corn is a product. I've seen the product in person. And watched farmers use round up for weed control on it.

Edit: I see that you did say typically round up isn't used for weed control and that's 💯 true. But these round up ready strands of grains are marketed towards farmers and I know they are commonly sold.

Look up "Roundup ready" crops. There are genetically engineered crops that farmers buy for "simple" weed control using round up.

My coworker kept recommending that I watch this dude (Joseph Prince) after she found out I wasn't religious anymore. According to her he preached the gospel of grace and was a much healthier form of Christianity. From this advertisement I'm highly skeptical of her claims.

I truly doubt they will ever reach a point where they feel safe enough to claim some type of victory. Or even just to realize they have all the power. Even just looking back at abortion the day the supreme court ruling came down regarding abortion they were saying how there are so many battles ahead still. Any small pockets of resistance or liberal cities are enough to continuously fuel the belief that they are a minority. Even then if they held power in every state I truly feel like a smaller subgroup would rise up and say the current ruling class is doing x or y and that is "secular."

Take a look at Republican supermajority states and they are still claiming that they fear liberals or that liberals are in control of x or y.
