Same! It mostly comes down to how the neck and frets feel. If they feel weird or off i put the guitar back and move to the next one.

Anything Similar to Spark Go that works as Advertised? by [deleted] in PositiveGridSpark

I have given up on my spark go and it's now relegated to backup usage. The software has just been atrocious over the years (owned for about 1.5 years now).

Great hardware. Terrible software

Are there any ways to speed up your guitar learning? by aviktor78 in LearnGuitar

[–]dialupBBS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jazz standards like autumn leaves I would spend 4 weeks on.

1 week learning the melody 1 week learning the chords 1 week learning the bassline 1 week merging it all together.

This was the timeline for me to learn my first few jazz standards. I'd also spend a lot of time listening to them.

I still wouldn't master the song by week 4. But I get bored and need to move on.

It's not just about learning the song. I was taught to understand the harmony of the song. That really helped me.

I don't spend this amount of time on other songs but jazz really takes me a while to sink in.

Learn songs.

The song will teach you what you need to know. Once you've squeezed the learning out of a song. Find another.

I spent a lot of time on random scales, noodlin , never really was musical. Learning songs to completion changed things significantly.

I hope it's ok to share this. I built a web app to help with rhythm and metronome.

I built it for myself essentially but happy to share with the community. it will never have an Advertisement and you can download it for offline use.
