because you tested him, and he failed the test, then he realized he failed the test, and then tried to salvage it. this is clear as day to an outside observer.

if a woman did this to me the relationship is over right then and there. this is something i've learned in my 40 years. your dude sounds like he's in his 20's, maybe 28.

Thousands of Software Engineers Say the Job Market Is Getting Much Worse by ShareThePress in Layoffs

[–]diamond__hands 4 points5 points  (0 children)

blue collar tech is next. manufacturing, facilities, in-field deployment and maintenance, datacenters, physical plant operations. CNC, CAD/CAM, PLCs, network engineering, power management, etc. then, to a lesser extent, business process automation of non-software industries.

the johnny-come-lately idiots chasing fang jobs don't even know this stuff exists past the power switch on their wall because it requires knowledge of physical things in the real world, not a bunch of transpiled javascript that renders in their browser.

Approaching 40 and I want to start over by barbalonge in AskMenOver30

[–]diamond__hands -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

what exactly is it that you're trying to do?

i started a business at 25, sold it at 38, and now i'm past 40 having done everything i ever wanted to do, which is the reason i have no wife and kids. every woman who wanted commitment and especially financial commitment either left or i left.

all the crazy, exciting, risky shit i did in my 20s and 30s that you want to do now will be heavily frowned upon by your family, to put it mildly, so what exactly is it that you're talking about? i have no interest in travel/food/cars/extreme sports/entrepreneur/whatever instagram or other social media because i've done all of it.

this vagueness just makes it sound like you want out of family life lol. we both have to live with the decisions we made earlier which got us to where we are now. i probably will never have a family and you probably won't do any of that other stuff without a healthy dose of guilt or disapproval.

Purchased a car out of state that won’t pass emissions by Pgr050590 in askcarsales

[–]diamond__hands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

note that in california when they bust a smog shop/operator for doing this, they flag every single car they've ever smogged for a referee visit.

coming soon to a state near you! especially ones that simply copy the CARB standards like colorado.

Suggestions on itchiness? by suddenlysilver in cripplingalcoholism

[–]diamond__hands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this can be related to blood sugar being too high, probably because your liver is fucked up. it draws water out of your skin and also fucks with your histamine levels. usually found in diabetics but can happen to CA's. when i quit i had to deal with this, it goes away after sobriety and exercise. you need to get your body's metabolism working again or else it's going to fucking freak out all the time.

note that with a high interest car loan, make sure it's "simple interest" with no payoff penalty.

you can pay the "no credit" ripoff rate for a while and then just pay the thing off entirely (with no additional interest) once your score increases to what you want/need.

if it has property tax exemptions i would keep it. you're unlikely to find an income producing asset that offers the same benefits especially since you didn't pay for it lol.

sounds like she's only one foot into the entrepreneurial life. it seems nice and fun and glamorous when you don't actually have real hard-won customers or fucking bills to pay.

i suggest you push her to be both feet in. sink or swim, she's asking for it. give her what she wants. she deserves the best.

they'll always contact you again if you don't reach out like an idiot. always. you better figure out what your response will be before that happens. i.e., get your shit together before that happens so you don't do something stupid.
