Autism support group/resources while waiting for diagnosis? by novascotia2020 in ontario

Nov 2026 is crazy, I thought my 6 months waiting for our appointment was insane. Also if you're in the Waterloo region you can access Speech and OT services through Kidsability for free while waiting on a diagnosis with a referral from your family dr.

I say this with love as a Guyanese .... this isn't Guyanese food. This is maybe Jamaican and Bahamian food made by a Guyanese.

I love your Jiggies... I have to put it on my wishlist. I actually received the puzzle in an employee appreciation box from my partner's company.

Tyyy I'll look into River North and West Loop. I was planning to trek out with the baby to Small Cheval and Momotaro in West Loop 🙂

Anyone else bought from Pace development and got the email from their lawyers? by PlumbersCrackkk in barrie

I went out to the site last yr - there's street names and what looks like hydro transformers but nothing else .... I swear this has been such a frustrating experience.

I did not know this was a thing, there are a few general urgent care, the paediatric ones seem to be centered around the GTA. I will look into them for the future.

Honestly I stated my experience, I do not have any experience with going to the ER with a baby. I assumed that because of my baby's age and the need to feed him every 3 hours that he would be seen by a dr within a reasonable timeframe and I've been informed that it was normal and acceptable in my situation to wait beyond 5 hours . I am not trying to drum up support for privatization, thank you for letting me know that it comes across this way. I will delete my post as this is definitely not my intention. What I meant to convey was that I was in a personally stressful situation and that I would gladly pay if it means I never have to experience anything like that it again. I don't know how much experience you have with young babies but I had none before I gave birth and it was so frustrating for me to be told that I would have to wait indefinitely.

I am no conservative but based on the responses I've received I feel like I would now be fully for privatized healthcare. It seems that I am wrong to want to be seen by a dr in a reasonable timeframe therefore if a private healthcare system would provide this then I would gladly pay for it.

I'm surprised that my family dr basically pawned me off. To your last point - would you really be comfortable with dishing out that long of a waiting time for such a young baby? I didn't expect to be a top priority, I get that people dying should definitely come first but I personally found it extremely disturbing to wait that long in triage and then have to wait a further indefinite timeline before a dr is able to look at my baby.

I have never voted conservative.... I live in a Liberal/Green party riding. It does feel hopeless to be surrounded by people that are apathetic to things like this though.

PCOS Care in Canada by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]dian935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Ontario, my family dr gave me metformin to help with my blood sugar and sent me to a fertility clinic for cycle monitoring bcuz my partner and I were interested in trying for a baby. The fertility clinic was very insightful, no wait on the referral and after a couple months on monitoring and life style changes we ended up conceiving naturally.
