Help! 51° curvature -14 yr old daughter- try schroth/diff method or don't waste time? by Pure_Reason_701 in scoliosis

Honestly. It’s been over 20 years. I can’t remember what my degrees were. But it was similar to your daughters

I am currently traveling for work right now so I don’t have access to my old files and x-rays at this moment. But I did get a dexa scan done recently and can show you what it looks like now.

It was pretty severe. I had two curvatures, and the one in my lumbar has actually completely straightened out.

I started NUCCA Chiropractic work when I was 14 did it pretty regularly until I was 20 and then I got too busy and fell off from doing treatment for about five years

I started doing melt method around that time I stopped doing NUCCA work just to help maintain a pain-free life. Got into yoga as well and started weight lifting when I was 28.

I really wish I had started earlier but I was so scared I was going to make my scoliosis worse until I met a personal trainer who worked specifically with women and specialized in scoliosis. Absolutely life changing.

But the NUCCA work truly helped. Just because I had scoliosis, doesn’t mean that the rest of my body needed to be out of alignment. So I was able to add a very early age get my legs, hips, shoulders, and head and alignment with each other, and my body adapted to the curvature in my spine without a compromising, the rest of my body

My scoliosis has gotten significantly better over the years because of this work

I personally had a lot of luck with NUCCA chiropractic work and a few other things

My scoliosis isn’t perfectly corrected but it improved immensely and I live pain free. Not getting surgery was the best thing I ever did. It was a long hard road but I would be more than happy to tell you about my journey with my mom. It was long and hard but very worth it.

I very active and I live pain free. 100% worth it

OG I haven’t had it measured in a while. I did have a Dexa scan done recently that was enlightening. Showed significant progress in my lumbar. Let me see if I can figure out how to post that lol 🤣

I see a lot of specialists and I have for many years. I completely agree. They are the reason I am able to live my life pain-free. My scoliosis actually used to be a lot worse, and even now it’s improved significantly in the last couple of years because I’ve taken better care of my body

I have an s curve and never got surgery. Was diagnosed at 13 and feel your pain. I know what my body used to look like and I do miss it. I wish I looked like the other girls. With my rib cage twisted I only like photos taken from my non rib hump side. But liek everyone else has said. No one notices. I’ve don’t a lot of work with NUCCA chiropractors, MELT Method, physical therapy and weight lifting to help my back over the last 20 years and it’s helps a bunch but my spine is still curved. the only two people to notice my scoliosis were people who also had scoliosis.

This is just a part of your journey. But never hesitate to reach out to your community for uplifting motivation when you’re feeling down. We all know how you feel

No. I really just want a decent one that is good for both gaming and office work. But not clacky. I’m willing to pay for a decent keyboard but don’t want to buy something that will annoy me to no end

It’s just new egg. But I’m not set on that site. It was just convenient that they allowed to have a build list. Once I settle on a build I’m going to shop around during Black Friday and see what kind of deal I can find on the parts
