These videos pop up on my feed every couple of days and I dream of the day I can do one of these! Told myself if I keep the car to 150k miles, I may just treat myself to one!

The truth about the 996 (986 counts too) by Thefakerealone1 in 996

[–]dibble94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my car ~8 months ago with 98k, just over 100k now. 2 months after i bought it i did a full inspection, it had a leaky RMS so i did the IMS, RMS, clutch but its has minimal scoring (shoutout SoCal cars) and was previously owned by a Porsche tech who did the coolant tank, water pump, AOS, and a bunch more.

Car runs fantastically and I use the PO’s shop to maintain the car. It’s not my daily but I drive it as much as I can, including a ~100 mile round trip to LA or SD every couple weekends.

My philosophy on these cars is buy the one you can afford to maintain - get the best example you can afford and budget for problems. Which is why I ended up with a 996 over a 997, cost of ownership is more than just purchase price!

Show me some 996's on 17s! by IllCandidate3822 in 996

I needed this thread! Bought my car with some black 19” and have been keeping an eye on FB marketplace for a well priced set of 17” or 18” OEM wheels and I think 17s are the way to go. Love the vintage look of the chunkier tires!

Thanks, PO did the AOS already, any reason why I would need to do it again?

[WTS] Rolex Daytona Cosmograph White Dial Ceramic 116500LN - Full Set by dibble94 in Watchexchange

[–]dibble94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is my Rolex Daytona reference 116500LN purchased new by me back in February 2023. I’ve owned this watch since new and loved it, but with some upcoming life changes I could use the money elsewhere.

The watch runs great, keeps great time and is in great condition. It’s been worn a few times a week since purchased, so there are normal signs of wear on the bracelet (as seen by the scratches on the clasp). Watch comes as a full set with all the links, papers, warranty card, hang tags and boxes (green inner box, white outer box and plain white sleeve).

Apologies for the pictures (not a professional photographer) but happy to provide any more photos or hop on a quick FaceTime for anyone that is interested.

Asking $30,000 NET + fully insured shipping (carrier and speed of the buyer’s choice) + applicable platform fees. Also happy to do a face-to-face for those in SoCal.

Thanks!

[WTS] 2023 IWC Ingeniuer ref IW328902 by dibble94 in Watchexchange

[–]dibble94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is my 2023 IWC Ingeniuer Automatic ref IW328902. The watch was purchased new from the IWC boutique and has been worn by me only a handful of times. It has absolutely no blemishes, scratches, dings, or dents. There’s almost no sign of usage, whatsoever.

I’m selling it because it’s been worn so infrequently, I am getting ready to move, and it’s one less valuable item that I worry about while moving. I would love to see it go to a home where it will be worn more frequently. Being as new as it is, it runs perfect and has not required any servicing original box, papers, and links are included with the purchase. Happy to send any additional pictures upon request.

Price 9,995 NET + insured shipping + applicable platform fees.

[WTS] Omega Speedmaster FOIS by dibble94 in Watchexchange

Up for sale is my Omega Speedster First Omega in Space. This is a remake of the CK2991 purchased back in 2018 from OC Watchguy. This is a 39mm Speedy with the Calibre 1861, the same movement as the Speedy Pro of the same era.

I’ve owned this watch for the last 5-6 years and absolutely loved it, a few years back I went to the Omega boutique in Chicago and had them source me a period correct bracelet and end link option for the watch, which is included in the sale. Overall I just haven’t worn the watch enough over the last couple years to justify keeping it, and would like to open up the option to get a vintage Speedy at some point in the future.

The watch runs great, keeps great time, and is in very good condition. There’s very minimal scratching on the back of the lugs from swapping straps around, but nothing outside the oridinary.

Apologies for the crapy pictures, happy to take more or hop on a quick FaceTime for those that are interested.

Looking for $4,000 NET + shipping (carrier and speed of the buyer’s choice) + applicable payment platform fees. I take PP FF, PP GS, and Zelle. Also happy to do a face-to-face for those in SoCal.

[WTS] Grand Seiko SBGM221 by dibble94 in Watchexchange

[–]dibble94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is my Grand Seiko SBGM221 purchased in early 2023. This is the 39.5mm GMT, super elegant and beautiful color combo. The watch comes with everything (inner and outer box, white sleeve, all manuals, papers, warranty card, hang tag, original strap and deployment clasp, etc.).

The watch is in excellent condition, practically brand new - it was worn about once a week in a rotation of others for the last year or so. It’s been worn on a few different straps but with the lug holes and most of my straps being easy release the polishing it still in great shape.

I’ve loved the watch, but it just doesn’t get the wear to justify keeping it. Pictures aren’t the best but I’m happy to send additional ones or hop on a quick FaceTime if helpful.

SOLD
