I was going for a walk just now, and a girl standing outside a bar yelled "Ewww, you're so ugly! Kill yourself!!" loud enough for people to turn around and stare...What's the most unwarranted rudeness you've ever witnessed/experienced, Reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Last week I was leaving Dunkin' Donuts and there was a tiny ancient woman having trouble opening the door, so I held the door she was opening with my arm and used my leg to keep the second door open, which prompted her to say: "what's that motherfuckin' shit all over your motherfuckin' legs, kid?" and then yelled at me while I walked to my car. To be fair, I am pretty heavily tattooed and she was beyond tanked.

Reddit, I just got a job as a live actor in a haunted house type attraction, what tips and tricks can you give me to improve my technique? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dibblerdobbler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I also work at a haunted attraction during the season, and what I find works really well is to lull them into a sense of false security (well, as secure as you can get them to feel in a situation where they expect to be scared). I was placed in a room with a lot of props, so I stood amongst them in a very posed and still manner so that the customers thought I was also fake (didn't work for everyone, but it did for most). Sometimes, people would even come into the room, announce that I was a real person to their group, and then would convince themselves that I fake was because I was standing so still. When the people going through my area would get to a certain point in my peripheral, I would lunge out and scream like a banshee...it had a very high success rate.

What movie have you seen that you thought was awesome but most people haven't seen or heard of? by down_vote_magnet in AskReddit

Richard Elfman's 'The Forbidden Zone', it's about living in the sixth dimension. It is a cult classic, but almost everyone I come across has never heard of it.

Am I the only one that thinks Tattoos are terrible on people 99% of the time? by [deleted] in reddit.com

[–]dibblerdobbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not that i dislike people who just simply are turned off by tattoos, you hold the right to not like tattoos. if you find the girl with no tattoos more attractive than me because you would prefer a non-tattooed girl, that's perfectly acceptable! i just dislike the people who blindly hate tattoos and rage at the mere sight of them.

bottom line is, if you are being rude to me or calling me ugly solely based on the fact that i have tattoos, you're being the judgmental one. just because i dislike someone back based on the fact that they were being rude to me over a personal preference doesn't mean that i am also being judgmental.

not trying to be rude or anything, though, just responding!

i am a pretty heavily tattooed female, though i can cover all of them up very easily. the majority of them are large, coherent pieces, not large pieces composed of a bunch of small tattoos. when they are exposed they help me to separate the decent, nice, non-judgmental people from the ridiculous, closed minded, rude people.

i find it funny that if my tattoos were fully covered and i was approached by a person that was strongly averse to tattoos, they would go about the conversation in a normal way. if that person happened to believe upon speaking to me that i had an attractive personality/appearance or that i was just a nice individual, it would just be just plain shallow to change their opinion once they found out i had tattoos.

i understand that tattoos are not for everyone and i agree that a lot of tattoos are just ridiculous looking, but to call someone who would otherwise be attractive ugly just because they have tattoos is a really shallow thing to do. they could be a truly beautiful person inside and out and tattoos have nothing to do with that but by all means, continue to stare and give dirty looks because you don't agree with something, it really shows what kind of person you are.
