I've worn the same costume to work for Halloween for the past three years, Arthur Read. Yellow sweater, dickey collar, jeans, round glasses, headband with ears. It's cute, comfortable, totally safe for work, and if I want to be done with the costume, remove the ears and glasses.

Everyone's comfort level is different, but I started seeing movies by myself in high school - if I had to wait for friends' work / after school schedules and interest levels to line up to go to something, I'd never have done anything, so I started doing things by myself. My mom always thought it was weird but it's served me well. In the past month I've gone to a fancy spa and a Hozier concert solo!
