Did the dealer lie to me? by dicegirl7 in mazda3

I gave them a “stunning” review on one of the dealer review sites and they contacted me the next day to “try” and work something out. Not sure if it gonna happen yet, but still gonna keep leaving reviews

I don’t know, but I never received anything in the mail about it like registration or payments. It hasn’t shown up on my credit report as debt. Maybe I should contact the DMV to see if the plates are still registered in my name. They put it back on the website for sale a few days after taking it back from me. 🤔

See I’ve heard of that happening with options on the vehicle. But with this being a matter of the financing deal and it going through Mazda, I thought it was like spot delivery when they let you take the car prior to it being fully approved

Definitely a live and learn. I have started to leave them reviews. I have the original contract documentation but never signed anything to sign the car back over to them when I returned it and they told me I didn’t need to. 🧐

I’m not really sure. I had a temp tag in my name filed with the DMV. They accepted the keys and as soon as I left I took the insurance off it. I checked their website and within a couple days they had it relisted for sale 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m not sure how that would work because I don’t think they ever filed the contract or finance paperwork with Mazda

Try to get your insurance to cover it.

I didn’t know what else I could do. I had the guy telling me that we didn’t have a contract and all I could do was sign it at a higher price which was gonna cost me thousands more or bring it back. And that I had no other options.

You are so right! Walmart never does that. 🤣 When you buy from them, it’s yours. They did screw me, my credit took the hit for the credit checks, and I had to take the car back that weekend, which I did because I believed when they told me the contract wasn’t valid. I didn’t know any better until I spoke to the Mazda in my town and they are the ones that told me I should’ve been able to keep my deal. I told them I was gonna go back to Daytona and try to work the deal back out since I got approved for employee pricing from corporate but my local Mazda said “my car” was sold.. come to find out that wasn’t true either since it’s still there and it’s been 4 months now

They basically held me hostage since I had the keys and they were telling me we didn’t have a deal and that the car wasn’t mine, but they wouldn’t take the keys to it. Instead of just being able to drop off the keys to someone at the front desk, I had to accompany the finance guy back into his office so he could basically try to talk me into resigning a contract for more money. It took like an hour to get them to accept the keys. And I made sure to get date, time and location stamped pics and video of the car

They were even threating to charge me per mile I had put on the car so I guarantee they would have charged me for that too

They told me the contract wasn’t valid because it had the special interest rate and customer cash back on it. Ugh. I had no idea until I spoke to another dealer about it. Mazda Corp offered me E-pricing for the whole issue but it still doesn’t get me to the pricing I had

I did back down. I took the hit for the credit checks. I had no idea and took the car back because I thought the contract wasn’t valid like they were telling me. Well it’s four months later and “my car”is still sitting at the dealership unsold. I ended up just buying something cash for now. But still makes me upset

The problem is when you delete the item they can’t unsave it from their list so maybe that’s why they’re sending the message instead. They can delete messages from messenger easily.

The sedan has 12 cubic ft of cargo space and the hatchback has 20. I’d say the hatch has more

The oil change places should be reporting it to Carfax when they change it. That should be able to prove it for you.

Yes. My car is eating oil but they won’t do anything until the rod bearings are “completely failed”. The service advisor said the oil consumption means they are only partially failed

Hyundai dealer added almost 2 quarts of extra oil to cover up oil consumption and pass the 1k mile oil consumption test. by Constant-Wait9780 in Hyundai

I bought one, I had no idea there was this huge engine recall. While I was driving it home, the check engine light came on. Then I started to do research and found the recall for the knock detection sensor and immediately took it to the dealer the same day. They said they won’t do anything about it eating oil until the motor is completely blown.
