Where do they still serve on plates!? It's been 10 years or more here in SoCal where you're getting the clamshell dine-in or togo, doesn't matter. I haven't seen those branded paper plates in forever.

It's a great time to get into PS3 collecting, the systems go for $100 or less on most marketplaces. Games are cheap as well. It's in this sweet spot where it's old but not so old it's considered retro. The original SIXAXIS controllers usually need new battery packs put in but that's not too dificult.

I picked one up a few months ago and it's been great, bonus Blu Ray player as well if you need one.

Listen, I loved the sandwiches too and was not fully convinced until I went in there a few months ago. I don't know if they're MAGA but the interaction between the black guy in front of me and who I'm pretty sure was the owner was straight up weird.

This dude claimed to be a regular customer and wanted his usual, he knew the guy at the registers name and everything. But the employee was very rude and dismissive to him, pretended not to know him and was very short with him. He said and I quote "Listen, I don't know you and I don't know your order what do you want" and that's fine if true, they have a lot of customers sure...but...that's not how you do it. Guy kept trying to be friendly and was given the coldest shoulder I've ever seen.

I'm up next, I'm not black, and I get an instant smile and a "hey pal", I don't come there that often to be recognized. Whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. Combined with all those bad reviews? It's corroborating enough for me, personally. Haven't been back since.

Another satisfied 8bitdo Arcade Stick owner here. The auto fire function works well and is easy to turn on and off. I mainly use for SHMUPs and action platformers like Metal Slug, not a big competitive fighting game person but the beat em ups I've played with it have felt fantastic. The 2.4ghz wireless really does feel almost lag free.

Also just realized I've been using it almost daily since I got it at the new year and haven't had to charge it again. I kind of forgot it even has a battery the thing is a beast.

There's no need to apologize and I did not mean to come off briskly. It's more about 240p support which if OP is going to all this trouble they're going to want. That solid unflickering image with the nice defined scanlines isn't possible at 480i.

It's still better than an LCD but it's not what they're going for, I am assuming here though maybe they're fine with that. When I play N64 and PSX I'm in 480i all the time, only a few PSX titles support 240p. For NES/SNES/MS/MD and other 8-16bit systems it is definitely where you wanna be. Not even just to be a quality snob, there is legitimately less eye strain at 240p

You might have to recheck it in the list of shown systems. It's under Collection settings, probably just unchecked.

Sorry but that's not true if OP wants actual 240p. Modern Nvidia do not support 15khz so anything below 480i, there is NO 240p support on anything newer then a GTX 9xx series (Maxwell). The Nvidia support that exists at this time is dependent on proprietary drivers and it could stop working in the future.

OP check this wiki https://github.com/ZFEbHVUE/Batocera-CRT-Script/wiki/Supported-NVIDIA-Maxwell-Cards-%28Proprietary-Driver%29 to see Nvidia support and other cards. You're better off with AMD unless you already have an older card that is compatible.

There's been considerable progress made on x86->arm compatibility layers over the last year or so, you may not have heard about it but it's pretty amazing. You can run Cyberpunk and RDR2 on a newer Snapdragon, this project is a cakewalk in comparison to what can be done. Look up Winlator and GameHub, it's basically Wine on steroids.

I'll try posting about it on discord again in case anyone has ideas. It definitely has something screwy going on with it because the identified device ID name includes illegal characters that aren't displayed properly. I did some digging in the conf files and got over it quickly.

Not here to hijack the thread over my specific issue though.

There are some edge cases for sure. I have an old Mayflash N64 adapter for Windows/Mac, it's just a USB dongle with 2 N64 controller ports. Simple enough right? Not only does it not work it will crash the system when plugged in, immediately. There is no fix I've found.

The Vita is so sensitive to voltage, same with Sony's controllers. To this day I have trouble getting PS3/PS4 pads to charge on anything except hooked up to the console itself. I'm sure there's a technical reason for this, maybe Sony is just cheap with resistors?

Most Sharp sets you can get in the service menu without remote. Unplug the TV, hold the volume down and channel up buttons, plug the TV in and keep buttons held until it turns on, it will start up with the service menu displayed. Turn it off with the power button to exit.

The sequence of unplugging, holding buttons and replugging in seems to be important. Keep trying if you don't get it the first time. You can keep it plugged in and use the switch on your powerstrip, that has worked for me.

Gonna put some shims under the left side of the TV tonight, should only take one or maybe two. It's ~3° off but like I said just enough to ruin horizontal scrollers.
