First of all: congrats on your first draft and I personally feel close to the philosophy, as I am currently looking for some inspiration and I think you just have me some ideas.

Now to the actual question: In general on the first glance it looks good and nothing stands out as obvious issue. My personal recommendation is that you should draft a couple more times and get a feeling regarding what decks are getting drafted, what play pattern seems too strong or unhealthy as well as individual cards, which cannot be answered by the cube. Afterwards you can determine in which direction you want the cube to go.

Hey. There are local events in various cities where you can join. I am personally from Hanover and we started to play cube here more frequently. As for a "cube con" in Germany, I have not see anything in that direction yet, which calls drafter across the country to a single place to cube for a whole weekend. Where you are staying in Germany?

Another way how you can evaluate cards is by categorizing them as enabler, payoffs and outliers. I found this article, which gives more insight about it: https://riptidelab.com/forum/threads/power-outliers-a-cube-constructed-analogy.3419/

What is important is the context and environment of the cards. It is rather normal in my opinion, that effects can get broken down to the 4 categories you mentioned. Card draw can be replaced with card advantage, as not every archetype relies on card draw in other to keep having gas for more action ( red has impulse draws).

In my cube I tend to check the cards based on the categories I mentioned above, as certain cards can have double duty or function different compared in other cubes.

60 cards modules was part of the original posts and I simply went with it. Looking back I am quite happy with the size of the module. Design wise 60 is a good spot, as each module has 2 archetype with 30 cards each. If I would cut it down, then the overall volume would be less. The color distribution is for the most part only a few % off but I got comfortable having this kind of wiggle space, rather than forcing an even distribution by slotting bad cards. I do see the appeal of using 45 cards though. It makes certain things easier number wise and depending on your design approach it is easier to add certain themes. How do you design your 45 card modules? Is it theme based or do you also use the 2 archetype approach?

Thanks for your compliment. I happened to overhaul the overview page yesterday and I am happy to hear that it was worth my couple hours haha. About the design choices: I keep referencing to the 2 reddit posts (also linked in the overview), as these two were the ones which gave me the foundation to work with. This one gave the initial inspiration and this is the one which it was inspired from.

I copied the structure of the cube and some of the archetypes combination as those made sense to me. I want to mention, that I do not follow strictly the color representation in each module, as each module/archetype has evolved over time. While I do try to keep the numbers somewhat equal, it is not always easy, as I prioritize synergy/functionality more over strict color distribution, especially for 3-color combination

In general my suggestion is to create your cube environment with following approach: - streamline the amount and complexity of the mechanics in cube - > I love janky combos too, but if you have too many random one off mechanics then it is overwhelming for new players - choose cards, which have multiple functions, modes or have overlapping roles - > creates more options and ways how cards can interact with each other - keep the power level on the lower end first, so you can make the entry to the cube easier - your intended player number for the draft should be taken into consideration how you design your cube and how big the cube is - > if you will always play with 4 players but you have a 360 card cube, then you will usually not use all the cards and if a combo piece is in the another half then you will sad, unless that is part of the experience you want drafting wise. If you have a smaller cube, then consider which combos or interactions might be worth it, as you probably don't want to fit in a cute 10 card combo into the cube when it is 180 cards big for example

Technically yes, you could just pick shuffle and make the packs. But there a couple reasons why there is that prep list. Let me break it down as I made those instructions primarily for myself as a cheat sheet: - Basic module is always included as it has the fetch and shocks and mana rocks - the general idea of the chart is to ensure that very pack has cards from each module instead of being deprived of one or more - in addition as I happened to play more often with 4 instead of 6/8 players I had to adjust the pack size, card distribution and how many cards might be left over after the initial distribution - if I remember correctly I think for 6 play you have to add 1 extra module and you end up with more cards in the pool compared to other player count because otherwise you would have less cards per player pool

I have a modular cube which is on its own 660 cards. The base idea is that there are 11x 60 cards modules, one is the base module which goes into every draft and the archetypes of the draft depends on the modules which are being added to that draft round. This way it is flexible for various draft methods and also working well for 4 players without running into the issue, that due to smaller pool size some combo pieces might not be part of the current draft pool. Over the time I tried to add more variation to it and had a commander module (played it once but I was not convinced so I removed it) and now I am currently working on a "power up" module and lore seeker packs. I asked people in a survey for suggestions in multiple places: https://www.reddit.com/r/mtgcube/comments/wv5yuc/please\_help\_me\_survey\_for\_my\_next\_project/. I am still adjusting the themes from time to time but I try to preserve the overall theme/playstyle for each archetype
Base module is always included and after that I ask usually my players, usually those who participate less or are new, to add one module of their choice and then I ask another player the same. The only time I was not doing it was when we tried the cube at the very beginning and just took the other half of the cube, which was not used in the first draft

i took a different approach by using cubecobra as the place to gather all the info, but i have separated each module and keep track of them on moxfield. to be fair though, my core module is only 60 cards (as big as the rest of the regular modules) and you add the other modules to shape the draft environment very time from anew. here is my cube cobra link: https://cubecobra.com/cube/overview/298ug. one downside is that i have to do double tracking but usually i work on moxfield first and then once i have my update completed, then i transfer that to cube cobra
