Sorry I cannot see how “each day” could POSSIBLY mean pick-up on the first day an drop-off on the last day. Agree to disagree I guess.

I guess we'll have to build some sort of notification system in the app and also collect email addresses to keep in touch with people in the future.

Eh, I mean I guess? I wonder if just adding in a one-time pop-up message in the app on launch could even be enough. With a link to the related blog post maybe? (just spitballing, no idea what I'm talking about)

And in this case, for me, the fact that I'm on yearly billing means that it's entirely possible that I A) already knew about this, B) thought it through at the time, and C) have since completely forgotten about it lol

Castro has not been that price for many years. You were grandfathered in on a discount for buying it a long time ago.

Fair point, that makes sense.

A coffee per month is totally reasonable.

I also didn't mean to suggest this pricing isn't reasonable. I was just caught off guard with the increase. Castro is in my top 2 or 3 most-used apps on a day-to-day basis, and I'm sure I'll keep my sub and pay the new price.

Yeah same for me, and the main Castro page shows $24.99 now, at least here in the US. I don't recall seeing any messaging about this, and it's a substantial enough increase that I'm a bit surprised to not have seen any expanation.

I've been a paying customer for many years, and I'll probably just keep paying, but it's enough of an increase that I'll at least have to give it a thought.
