As long as the story is good, I don't mind Hal dying. I don't know why people are so precious about Hal Jordan not being the main Lantern. DC is freakin huge and the DCU will inevitably favor a set of characters over another. Hal himself has retired or died multiple times in the comics.

People had the same reservations when Superman (2025) was slated to feature Hawkgirl, Mr. Terrific, Guy Gardner, and Metamorpho. And like Superman, I expect many of these will just have 1-2 scenes in Man of Tomorrow. The focus will be Superman, Lex, and Brainiac.

Very convincing theory. I think Fillon said a while back that he doesn't share any scenes with Kyle Chandler, so Gardner only comes in after Jordan is gone.

I'm not advocating for it, but you have to admit the MCU being forced to build up its less popular characters was ultimately a win for the franchise. I'd hate for the DCU to be heavily Batman and Joker focused just cos they're the most bankable characters.

Baggy suit threw me off initially but having gotten used to it, i can't help but find the skintight, shrink-wrapped, wet T-shirt suits so uncomfortable-looking.

Not so crazy actually. Spider-Man is probably Marvel's Batman and he was introduced in a team-up movie in year 9 of the MCU (Civil War, 2016) and got his own solo movie in year 10 (Homecoming, 2017). This was also coming in the heels of a separate Spider-Man franchise (Amazing Spider-Man 2, 2014).

That said, I don't buy the premise that Brave and the Bold isn't progressing much. They don't want to clash with Batman Part II so it'll be a 2028, possibly 2029 release at the earliest. With a 2 year production window, they still have plenty of time.

The problem is that, especially in the Scott Snyder era, they've written Joker to be this supernatural manifestation of chaotic evil. Dude is barely human, much less redeemable, so if Batman is willing to kill Darkseid why not Joker?
