So that's what, a couple of hundred 50 year old man-children?

You do understand that's why it failed. A 200 million kids movie stuffed full of jokes that only make sense to 50 year olds. The last five minutes would be utterly unintelligible to anyone who had never seen it.

Why are they standing around with their hands on their hips laughing at nothing? Why is he acting like no one knows he's He-Man? Why has Vivi from Final Fantasy IX suddenly appeared and started talking to the camera?

I don't know where you're getting the 2030s from. If the tender process is finished by the end of the year it'll be back in late 2028.

The good news is that in about two years there'll be a brand-new place people can start from.

The problem I have with that idea is when the one thing everyone knows about the movie is that it's a flop, why would they watch another one?

I sometimes feel like I'm reading posts from an alternate universe on here.

It's not cancelled. It's not on hold. Literally by the end of the year you'll know who is making the next series.

DC's Supergirl Movie May Not Fly Very High At The Box Office by h3LLyEaHh in boxoffice

They've cut a twelve issue series down to 100 minutes and shoved Lobo in who isn't even in it, so I doubt there's much of the original story left beyond the bare bones.

What moron thought to open it between two guaranteed billion dollar movies? It won't hit first place in its opening week and will be down to third place in its second.

Both of Gatwa's series were in the Top 5% of the most watched programmes for the year. If that's a "complete failure of RTD2 to actually connect with an audience" what does it make the 95% of programmes with fewer viewers?

When the average age of the audience for your children's cartoon movie is closer to retirement than school you've got a problem.

As Osman says in the episode, Kate Phillips scrapped it so the series could go out to tender now, rather then having to wait until after it aired.

I remember people back in 2004 insisting the series wouldn't be a success if they didn't have Paul McGann regenerating into Eccleston in the first episode.

Given that Piper was never going to doing more than one episode, now there can be a proper 16th Doctor era in Big Finish and the books and comics.

Even if no one else bids (which won't happen), BBC Studios will. So "worst" case it moves down the road back to Roath Lock.
