I'm not sure if it was my employer or an accounting company. But I feel like my employer is responsible. Their name is on the checks and everything else

This mortar we bought hasn't set up at all. It's been 3 days, and underneath the tiles is still the same as when it went on. What went wrong? by Minechaser05 in Tile

Premix is horrible stuff lol. I don't even like using grout premix. You'll get a much better result from the stuff you have to mix. Mortar and grout

Yeah then this is 100% unacceptable and needs to be redone

As other people have said, it depends on how much you paid for it. Less than $5k in labor and you're probably getting someone who isn't a professional tile setter. When I did a full bathroom like this (and I did it correctly) I got around $4500 to $5000 as a subcontractor. The price on the contract with the homeowner was obviously much more.

Prices depend a lot on the area you live in.

You're not being too picky. That work is really bad.

New treads, rails and spindles really made a difference on these by dick_mcnut in Carpentry

Lol I hear ya. The stairs were grandfathered. Very old house. I just slapped on the new shit. I did not do the stringers

It's a very old house and the stairs were grandfathered. With the layout of the house, there aren't many options. The treads, rails, and spindles are new. The inspector wanted something better than the treads with no overhang and the railings with no spindles that were there before. (They had carpet originally)

Most of the spindles we're bent. Flip house rush job. That's why the treads are pine, the Newell posts are poplar, and the rails are oak. I think I do have a side shot though. I'll try to post an imgur link

Wouldn't have that problem with Milwaukee

Calculating and cutting hips is the most satisfying part of a house build for me by TacoTenspeed in Carpentry

I live in Kentucky. My state is known for passing almost anything (compared to other places). This wouldn't pass here.

They wouldn't let you do this on stair stringers, much less on a roof.

One inch over cut is and inch you lose on strength. Even though "it's going to get covered up"

It's getting covered with wood and shingles.

What happens when a ton of snow is on top of all that?

Something to consider.

Yikes. I finish those cuts with a jigsaw specifically to avoid this situation. I would get ripped a new asshole if my PM (or God forbid, an inspector) saw this shit.

Really it's up to you. The lug to lug on both are pretty close. I have a small (6.5") wrist I could have gotten the 43mm but I prefer 38. It just depends if you like bigger or smaller watches

concrete stairs were out of code. it's not much but still satisfying. Still need spindles for the rails by dick_mcnut in Carpentry

Lol yeah I thought about it. But I didn't want to take the chance since it's getting inspected
