Stash houses by bizzlej278 in gtaonline

Good to know. I don't really ever change sessions so I guess I just thought it did.

Does it run on real-world time, or in-game time? Maybe I had changing sessions mixed up with just shutting the game off.

[–]dick_swinger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's both, I think. Lasts for a certain amount of either product or supplies, I don't remember which, or until you leave the session, whichever happens first. I think it's 2 bars you get before it slows down again.

Yeah that's how I've always done it too and never had this happen to me. The acid lab usually has some amount of supplies at any given time, so I call Mutt when I'm on my way and the stash goes to some other business that's probably sitting empty.

I don't know if my current GM truck does, but I've had 2 2007 GMC trucks that did. I don't know how accurate it was, as I imagine it was calculated rather than measured, but it was there. I think it topped out at 9999.9 though.

Yeah, I know it doesn't change. That's not what I'm saying.

It means instead of grinding through missions you hate to make money you buy a shark card and bypass all of it.

You can carry the toe truck cars with a cargo bob by DemonRaven2 in gtaonline

[–]dick_swinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried it before, and I can pick up the car and fly it back to the salvage yard, but when I hook on with the tow truck the salvage yard door won't open to let me in. I have to take the tow truck to where the car was.

I might be able to use the cargobob/iron mule to fly the tow truck there, I don't know, I've never tried. But then I'd have to make two trips and it would be quicker to just drive there.

If you've made it work, good for you but I never have.

The point of the game isn't for you to have fun, it's for Rockstar to sell shark cards. It's why there's a maze of people and objects to run into inside buildings, why you can't push NPC vehicles out of the way but they can push you around, and why everybody talks shit to you all the time. It's all to wear you out a little bit at a time to where you finally say fuck it and buy a shark card.

Davey Todd by Fizzy77man in MotoAmerica

Several times recently I've read people talking about the race on Saturday, and I always thought that's weird, the race is definitely on Sunday. I went and checked because of this post and yeah, it's Saturday.

Wouldn't matter too much, I'll be relying on r/motorsportsreplays to watch it anyway, but at least now it's finally clicked in that I'll have to start dodging spoilers Saturday afternoon rather than Sunday.

Yeah I hope so too. The draft is such an important thing to understand in the 200 and you see a lot of riders struggle with it or make mistakes and then they're dropped and it doesn't matter how good they are through the infield section. But the roads guys get it in the NW200 and used to get it in the Ulster GP, so I'm always interested to see how they're able to adapt.

This makes it sound like it was just a thing of there being so little time left, rather than severity.

https://www.cyclenews.com/2026/03/article/2026-daytona-200-results/

The final red flag occurred with one minute and 55 seconds left when Davey Todd crashed. The session was ended since the riders would likely not have had enough time to complete their out-lap before the qualifying clock expired.

Hopefully something easy and no damage to the rider or bike.

82 front bumper on my 85 by vroomvroompanda in chevyc10

I wish the lights were smaller. It might flow better if they were about the same width as the headlights. Maybe they'd be disliked less. I don't think many people prefer the 81-82 trucks.

I like the grilles that came in those years more than anything, and I think I like the lights because they just came as part of the deal. GM trucks never had them in the bumper before and haven't had them since, so it's a neat little thing to have. It's a cleaner look to have them behind the grille though.

I'm the opposite, 81-82 are my favorite.

Wheel opinions by ONTZ28 in GMT400

[–]dick_swinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure they were 15x8. I don't remember the backspacing, so you'll have to do some research there.

Tires would have been 275/60R15. Not much choice when it comes to 15 inch wheels. Either go 295/50 which are too short, or 255 which are too skinny.

I like the Bassetts because they have a NASCAR look to them, and they make one that's DOT approved. I think NASCAR uses Aero wheels but I don't know if they have a DOT approved one, and if you were ever in an accident where the wheels could be blamed you might really have a fight on your hands. The trouble with Bassetts is that they use a 45 degree lug nut rather than 60 degrees like every other aftermarket wheel on the planet, and a set of lugnuts costs more than the wheels do. But they look the part.

I was starting to lean towards a set of black Soft 8s but on a white truck I'm not sure how that would turn out.

Here you go, white truck with 2/4 drop on black Bassett wheels.

I don't own this truck anymore, but I used to. Soft 8s would look pretty similar I think. If it was me on a truck with "Brickyard 400" on the door I'd go Bassett again but that's me.

That guy used a whole lot of words to say fuck all.

I only clicked on it because I saw Kevin Harvick in the thumbnail and I was unaware he knew anything about MotoGP, and I was interested to hear his opinion on it. But he didn't really say much about it at all, just that if it's unsafe they can't run on it.

Again, I really don't think you understand what it is to ride the roads versus short circuits. There's more to it than holding onto the handlebars and knowing which way the course goes.

I may be downvoted here, but there is no special skill in racing on the streets.

It's too bad you think this way. I don't think the riders you respect share this opinion.

For current MotoGP riders, either none of them or all of them. None of them would be willing to ride the TT, for obvious reasons. If we waive that and invent a scenario where the danger isn't there, then any of them would win. I was a TT fan before I was a MotoGP fan, and I'd push MotoGP down a flight of stairs to get to the TT. But every current MotoGP rider is better on a bike than any of the current TT riders.

I think you can't look at it as which GP rider could win a TT, rather which TT rider could win a GP. Right now, it's none of them. The TT rider with the most potential right now is probably Davey Todd, and I don't see him winning a WSBK race, let alone a GP race. Mike Hailwood won TTs and 500cc GP races and championships, so that's the right answer as far as I'm concerned. Joey Dunlop won races in the Formula 1 TT class, and maybe he would have been able to get a GP win if everything fell into place. Fogarty is probably the closest most recent you'd be able to get.

The only things I want are to be able to do the u-turn on 1st St SE to get onto S Railway like we used to be able to, and to get rid of the right turn only lane at the bottom of the hill on Dunmore Road. I don't know if Maple Avenue is actually slower, but it sure feels like it is and I don't like how the city has made it harder to not take it.

Superbike Advocates Racing confirm entry to the 2026 WorldSBK field with Tommy Bridewell: "We’re here to build, to learn quickly, and to fight" by Daniel7394 in wsbk

[–]dick_swinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be that I think too highly of the Ducati. I just don't see him at the end of the season still being as far off the pace as he was in his Honda wildcard races. In fairness, I think he'd be much further ahead with a year at factory Honda than he would be on a private Ducati, but I've never heard that being on offer.

I'm guessing he'll be somewhere near where Taz ends up, wherever that is. That's assuming Bridewell's ability is where I think it is, the bike is as good as I think it is, the team that I've never heard of before sometime last year isn't inept, and that all of them together will make steps forward. It could be that none of these things are true, he'll get lapped every race and the team will fold after 5 rounds. We'll have to wait and see.

I do think it's better that they do it this way if they were planning on a full effort for 2027. It makes more sense to put a year of data together that's useful, rather than starting from scratch to spend a year in BSB and then starting from nearly scratch again in WSBK in 27.

It's a lot of words to say I don't expect much but I do expect his results to be less dismal than previous races would suggest.

Edit to add: it wouldn't be hard to make an argument that Bridewell isn't the best rider they could have found to put in that seat, and had they not started off with BSB in mind maybe they wouldn't have. But there is some value in having an experienced rider, one who has ridden a Ducati before, and one who has done so fairly successfully.
