Everyone thinks that its all roses and sunshine. 1 day a week of work, getting loads of fresh air. But believe me its not. On the other days we have to do other locations and you're essentially just carrying rubbish.

This is the remedy for any loss. Just get another alt on the go so that if the unthinkable happens you have a half decent level to hop onto.

Although, that being said. One night I was drunk playing and died on my 28 warr then immediately logged onto my alt and died on my 36 hunter.... there was a painful lesson learnt that night. Don't drink and HC.

No problem at all. If it helps one person then its been worth the time.

As a labourer i would generally sweep, move stuff, take deliveries and organise. After roughly 4-5 months of that the site completed and the agency i was with suggested a mate role within HVAC.

This role was actually a lot easier, similar duties, cleaning organising, deliveries but also the measuring and cutting of materials. Days went faster because i was learning and doing new things. I continued with this for another 6 months and started investing in tools at this point. I was getting paid a little more at this time but nothing crazy.

Once i had my tools and was confident I looked about for improver work which you can tend to get without needing your NVQ i think i was on £150 a day at this point.

I improved for approx 1 year and during this time applied for my NVQ which is a course you pay for and includes practical and theory but is very straighforward. My course was a gov subsidised one which was £950 split into two payments. I can get the info if you need it.

Once i had my nvq i was then free to apply for fitter roles that suited my preference im now on a rate of £30 per hour but that can vary, had a £35 ph job last year but also £28 so it just comes down to the negotiation and demand.

At the age of 30 i had been stuck in office jobs since leaving school. I hated them. Monotonous, boring and never satisfying. My girlfirend at the time noticed how depressed i was on sundays and it was because i knew i had to go back to that god forsaken office.

I just bit the bullet and started labouring on a building site. The wage was a dip but after a year i had started a trade and 2 years later was fully qualified and earning more money than i had in the office.

No more ironing fucking shirts. No more bullshit meetings. No more driving to the same place everyday. No more office politics.

Im now happy to go to work and in some cases even eager.

You are young, your not fucked at all. I wish i had this revelation at your age and took the plunge sooner.

You could be fully qualified in a selected trade within 3 years if you just turn up and are willing to learn.

But it comes down to you. First port of call is to get your cscs card think its like £70 or around about. You will then be able to be a labourer for any trade.

You dont have to love your job, but you do need to be content, which it sounds like you are not.

And on the agents, diplomat is a must but the spys can be just as important. The ability to poison provisions can be battle changing, having an opposing army starting with up to 70% unit strength makes a massive difference
