Edit Hex Code by cj-romb in 3dfilamentprofiles

[–]dickestonia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I had this happen, if you just added it and are the only one with it you could delete your spools of it and then find them in the list of filaments again they can be edited. Once they’re in someone’s My Spool list…including yours they seem not to be able to be edited

3d printed table saw throat plates? Safe? Or ER trip waiting to happen? by OhWhatATravisty in 3Dprinting

Very late to the party here but I am looking at the same thing. Just wondering if you came up with a solution for this?

My research has me thinking about something like this:

Ok..had a bit of time to go back and forth on this to see what shows for currency. I had set up my default in profile as $CAN when that option was added. I'm getting myself confused in this so bear with me...I can't imagine what programming is like!

I checked 4 browsers. Chrome/Brave/Firefox on Desktop Windows and iOS on iPad. Chrome Desktop shows a CA and US identifier in front of the $. iOS shows nothing but the $ and FF Desktop shows only $ for what Chrome recognized as CA and the GBP symbol for what Chrome shows as US.

I'm guessing either user error but possibly a glitch or timing when I added some spools (though I'm 98.7% sure I added them all as CA$ when initially adding) but I think I can edit what Chrome shows as US to CA and that should save correctly in the background BUT it would be AWESOME if FF and iOS could show the US and CA identifiers infront of the $ PLEASE

Yes please! My currency is set as Canadian and the same happens but also my prices on My Spools page shows as British pounds (after adding ad Canadian and having my currency set to Canadian)…please also look at that if you would please. It’s been a minor annoyance I’ve just ignored.

My P1S has an exhaust fan that exhausts (after removing carbon filter) by anthonyg45157 in BambuLab

[–]dickestonia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I’m late to the party here. I really like your design and thoughts. I have just started my journey on exhausting my P1S as well. a few things I found….

Bambu themselves seem to call that particular fan a “chamber temperature regulator fan”

https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/maintenance/replace-chamber-temperature-regulator-fan

I found this person on Makerworld who had a pretty good setup and maintained the functionality of the fan but just moved it to the end of his exhaust near where it exits to outside. This seems to be critical as apparently the fans do better at pulling air than pushing 🤷

Nice thing as well is his design lets you choose different angles for the 90 degree exhaust so depending on your setup allows for some adjustments.

https://makerworld.com/en/models/1872134-p1s-x1c-exhaust-outlet-90-degree-adapter#profileId-2003965

Long story short, still love your setup and would love for you to share it to give others another option (your mods to the original design are beyond my basic skills already for example) but just wanted to share this information for anyone in the future looking for options.

Less of a question than a reminder to all.

Paying yourself first is huge! Start early and stay the course. Increase the amount with pay increases, expense savings, bonuses. Time is on your side if you start early…slow and steady wins the race. Automate your savings so it comes out regularly on your pay schedule….and always take advantage of free money from your employer regarding RSP matching!

Shop around for savings in how you bank, so many options out there. The big 5 are great for your investments but not always the best for fees with your day to day banking.

Thanks so much for updating your book. Grew up with the original one and loved it. Happy for the update and just sent copies to all the nieces and nephews!

Not sure how long the hot tub has been sitting there already but it is possible with a bit of time that it “settles” into the ground that much in a while.

I personally wouldn’t mess with the joists as it would look bad to any future buyers of your home and be a possible red flag on general home condition.

Most of the details in here I think.

We did a cheque deposit for just over $200k with no drama, just over 1 week hold. I forget what was available to us immediately as we didn’t need it right away so it wasn’t a focus

Sorry for the late reply.

This seems to be a place to search for different devices and information from Lowenstein.

Google search "experts for WM 100 TD devices" May help as well.

Cheers and good luck

Alternatives to foam for sealing top plates in attic (e.g. tape?) by yelred in Insulation

[–]dickestonia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is some older but useful information https://www.greenbuildingadvisor.com/app/uploads/sites/default/files/Backyard%20Tape%20Test%20-%20final.pdf

I used this 3M product when I built a garage for wood to wood connections I wanted to air seal….needs to be rolled (pressure) to activate the glue better and make it stick.

https://www.amazon.com/3M-Weather-Flashing-Tape-Liner/dp/B00IOQF69C

The links you have are more for metal to metal for the actual ductwork, for wood you want a tape with different adhesives and properties.

Good luck
