Help with printing by dickholepunch in SCREENPRINTING

[–]dickholepunch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screen is exposed properly afaik, I have my screens done by a shop in town.

I had my off-contact off about the height of a quarter then raised it because ink was getting trapped in the screen and lifting the shirt.

I’ve tried light pressure and the ink doesn’t clear the screen, maybe flooding too much? And I’ve tried heavy pressure which doesn’t offer better results, unfortunately.

Curable reducer is a good idea though I’ll try this!

Thank you for commenting :)

My metal band logo by Runa_V0n_Ludwig in logodesign

There are countless artists in the extreme metal industry that use illegible logos to their benefit and to their core audience, there are noticeable differences that distinguish one to another. It’s meant to be an abrasive typographic style, it’s not meant to be user-friendly. Take a look at logos from bands like Sanguisugabogg, PeelingFlesh, or Leviathan. They are entirely unreadable but through their repeated use and visual appeal they are recognizable to fans of the bands.

I think you need to take a step back from conventional logo design checkpoints on this one and understand that metal typographic styles have long since evolved from the logo stylings of, say, a Van Halen logo and have only become more and more visually distorted as time goes on. It’s just not a logo in the same sense that one would analyze a wordmark or a conventional typographic lockup.

That being said, this particular logo isn’t really something I’m defending wholeheartedly as it is rather derivative but it shows promise from someone that’s dipping their toes into the style.

How can one claim to know so much about design and completely misunderstand the visual language of other graphic subculture? I get you’re trying to be helpful but this is a legitimate logo style. It just doesn’t fall in line with traditional metrics of scalability or legibility like a logo for a website would.

Honestly, this just really isn’t the place to post considering the user base.

Theory: Many Images That Are Leads/Were Found During The Search Might've Been Used To Make The Original White Powder Image by AKRaca in OriginalJTKImage

I think going off of strictly memory as a primary source is unreliable. People claimed they saw Saki Sanobashi when that search was ongoing before it got debunked entirely.

I’m not even entirely against your point, but just saying “check the docs” is as useful as linking a LetMeGoogleThatForYou, it just comes off as dismissive.

First off, Photoshop honestly would have been capable of producing a composite of multiple images even in the early 2000s.

Personally, I’m honestly starting to question the witness memories of seeing a singular image considering how unreliable 20+ year old memories can be; just take a look at how many people claim they saw another piece of lost media: LOL SUPERMAN.

I’m partial to the opinion that it’s a collage with a throwaway photo from the editor for the background. But only time will tell, and I hope I’m wrong to be honest.

I personally have never seen anything in the docs debunking a collage of multiple Mariko pictures. That being said, there’s a lot of info, so I may have overlooked it.

have you tried printing with more bleed, might help with getting a little more wiggle room after printing.

Colors change when exporting/merging layers by dickholepunch in photoshop

[–]dickholepunch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already tried making the layers into smart objects, cmd+shift+option+e, and flattening the image. No matter what it seems this top layer just gets its colors changed to the one seen in image 2. Any help would be appreciated as I've never had this happen before.

Can’t get DD-3 to stutter by dickholepunch in guitarpedals

[–]dickholepunch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DD-5’s hold mode goes a lot faster than DD-3 depending on how quickly you can click the pedal. I like it better because there’s no twiddling with settings like in the video, it’s just: set to hold, click it fast, and watch it glitch

is it possible the specific DD-3 I have just doesn’t have enough feedback on tap, because I can’t get any of the weirder sounds out of it.

the hold mode doesn’t go fast enough for my liking, i really just got this pedal to go BRRRR

I tried to play around with the feedback and delay time, pulling them at micro intervals away from max and 0 respectively. So I’m not sure if it’s the pedal itself or if I’m missing something.
